Turquoise blue? Can I call it turquoise blue? Whatever you want to call it, I like that it’s used here as an accent, only on the sleeves and in bits on the sides, instead of as the main event. I would hate this colour as a main event. But the way the sleeves are cut apart from the body like this, in contrast to all that wonderful yellow, is really, really lovely. Full Article

Duana Posted by Duana at November 14, 2016 21:03:32 November 14, 2016 21:03:32

Dear Duana, I am in need of your assistance with naming my first child and am hoping that you can help. I am not sure whether you post the entirety of the emails that you receive so apologise in advance if this is too long. I am having a boy. At first I was happy about this because there are so many awesome leading man names that are esoteric and cool but unfortunately my partner is not on the same wavelength. Full Article

Duana Names: Prescription for Pettiness

Duana Posted by Duana at November 11, 2016 21:18:41 November 11, 2016 21:18:41

Hi Duana, I have what I feel is some petty bitchiness going on, and I need an independent third party to either validate my feelings and offer a solution, or disabuse me of my opinions and give me a reality check. My husband and I are expecting our first child, a girl, in the beginning of December. Full Article

Her features are so delicate, her face, her eyes, like a doll. Who looks beautiful in pink. Trying to decide how I feel about the panel right over her chest though. It's supposed to be jarring, I get it. Especially against the soft, delicate material and pattern. And the alternative if they were going to cut out a section would probably be sheer or lace, both options I hate. Full Article

What a pretty dress. I like how it starts as a shirt dress and then turns into something else at the waist. And the tucked under sleeves are lovely. Mostly, though, this colour is spectacular on her. Gorgeous against her skin.  Full Article

I think they’re grommets? They run along the sleeve but I like that they also frame the waist. The standout for me here though is her lips. I can’t stop looking at them. I love whatever this makeup trick is. Like a stain, sort of. But also, like she had a much thicker layer of lip colour on earlier and it was either kissed off or bitten off, so that the effect is that this is almost her natural lip colour, like her lips would just look like this when she wakes up in the morning. Full Article

Hello Duana! I’m writing to you from Portugal – which means this is not a question about Anglo-Saxon names or about people living in an English-speaking country – so I completely understand if this doesn’t interest you or if you don’t think you’ll be able to help. Full Article
