Carpets & Candids: Mila’s red boots

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 31, 2017 20:49:12 October 31, 2017 20:49:12

Red boots like this, to me, always feel costumey. Maybe because it’s Halloween. Maybe because there are so many superhero movies. But any goodwill I’ve ever had – probably not much – for an over-the-knee red boot is now gone. That said, the red boot can obviously be styled so that it stays as far away from Halloween and superheroes as possible. Full Article

Smutty Fitness: The Red Zone

Hayley Posted by Hayley at October 31, 2017 19:57:54 October 31, 2017 19:57:54

Hi Hayley, I have a heart rate monitor (chest strap) that I enjoy using; however, I really struggle to get into the more intense levels. I have a low resting heart rate and seem to be burning a lot of calories but my green zone is others’ red zones. We wear them for a specific spin class and while the entire class is at 90%+ I’m in the 70%. Full Article

Hello Duana, I am writing to you in desperation as we are very close to our due date (October 29) and we still haven't decided on a name for our little girl. She will be our first child unless you count our dog and cat (Cali and Maya). We have run the gamut of names and one of my wife's first choices was Charlotte until we found out just how popular it was, that and my cousin who is due in December had publicly claimed the name for her daughter. Full Article

Sasha Finds: The Body Deli cleansers

Sasha Posted by Sasha at October 27, 2017 19:27:06 October 27, 2017 19:27:06

Finding a face wash seem simple enough in theory, but in practice, it’s actually quite a mission. They can be too drying or they don’t lather well, or they are too expensive, or they still leave your face dirty or they just flat out suck. And don’t start yelling at me about oil cleaners…. Full Article

This dress isn’t all that noteworthy. I am curious about the placement of the belt though. And I don’t hate it. I think the dress knows that without it, it would be boring. So the belt is an attempt at something a little offbeat. I dig it. Mostly though, what’s pulling me to this look is the colour, the colour on top. Full Article

Zendaya has been out several times this week. And every single time the look is different, and interesting, and fun, and … well… it’s gotten to the point where if she’s showing up, she is the only one to look at. Here are her two most recent looks – a khaki jumpsuit at the Michael Jackson Scream event on Tuesday and a pretty blush pink blouse tucked into high waist pants at the CFDA Fashion Fund Show yesterday. Full Article

Hi Duana, My husband and I are expecting our second daughter on October 25, and we are struggling to come up with a name. Our first daughter is called Dorothy - Thea for short. We would like a name that is longer, but can be shortened. We also don't want anything too popular, as we both had the most popular names growing up. Full Article

Smutty Fitness: Injuries and obstacles

Hayley Posted by Hayley at October 25, 2017 14:56:56 October 25, 2017 14:56:56

Hi Hayley, I am writing to you out of desperation. I am a mom of a 2 year old, and a lawyer with a busy, time consuming job. I never feel like I get enough exercise but I was keeping it together through running, a couple of boot camp type classes a week and biking. I hurt my rotator cuff earlier in the year (my 2 year old likes to be carried) but got through that. Full Article

Smutty Fitness: Rebuilding after baby

Hayley Posted by Hayley at October 24, 2017 16:29:26 October 24, 2017 16:29:26

I am 39 weeks pregnant with my first child, and I'm in that planning-for-after-delivery stage of the pregnancy--particularly around meals, sleep, and exercise. I'm a pretty fit person. Up until 34 weeks, I walked at least 5 miles per day. I had to stop because there weren't public restrooms available as I walked through residential areas and a cemetery on my way to/from work. Full Article

Duana Names: Well Here’s One I Haven’t Been In Before

Duana Posted by Duana at October 24, 2017 15:13:28 October 24, 2017 15:13:28

Hi Duana, I would love your help selecting the perfect name for our baby girl (Due October 2017). We know the middle name (Frances) and last name, obviously, which is W---t.  This will be our first child and I am really hoping she is born with her dad's gorgeous fiery red hair. If we are lucky enough to have a red head, I want her name to reflect her "2% of the world's hair colour population" status. Full Article
