Good dress. It’s Lupita. She’s a standard for herself. But… This kitten heel is killing me. It’s especially unattractive from the front and side. Even she can’t save it.  Full Article

Hi Hayley, I've never been a terribly active person, but I'm trying really hard to change. Unfortunately, having been sedentary for many years means that I'm terribly out of shape. I've started doing all the standard things: taking the stairs more, walking where I would normally take the bus, etc. Full Article

Duana Names: On Earworms, Eventual Boys, and Kids TV

Duana Posted by Duana at March 9, 2016 21:17:06 March 9, 2016 21:17:06

Duana, We are expecting baby #4 in March.... and we learned that it is a boy! This is brand new territory for us, as we have 3 girls at home. With all our previous pregnancies, we did not find out the gender & always walked into the hospital for delivery with confidence in our girl names; still debating about boy names through the contractions. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Mary Elizabeth’s beautiful gown

If it were Kate Hudson wearing this, I’d be annoyed. And Taylor Swift. On Mary Elizabeth Winstead, I’m in love. She looks incredible. Is that unfair? Or is it just because Mary Elizabeth didn’t go looking for the dress that would be the most revealing and the most provocative, just a dress that fits her well and that she was comfortable in? Full Article

A silver dress. And gold shoes. I’m not against it in principle. But the style of the shoe here isn’t working for me. And the whole look is kinda all over the place with the jacket that’s too long on top of the dress and the shoes with wrapping crossed over the foot… Messy, non? Full Article

It’s a special, special dress. Kimono around the neck. Use of sheer without feeling like anything we’ve been seeing of sheer over and over and over again. Delicate and pretty in the skirt. And that f-cking dragon belt. I’m not sure this was the right shoe colour though. That light grey isn’t enough drama. Full Article

Duana Names: March of the All-Girl Updates

Duana Posted by Duana at March 7, 2016 21:57:05 March 7, 2016 21:57:05

I don’t know about you, but these updates fill me with a real sense of satisfaction. Not just for the obvious self-satisfied reasons, but because these kids have names! They change from being ideas to being people! I also get begged for updates all the time, so please, keep them coming, I don’t care how ‘overdue’ you think they are—you’ve been busy! Thanks for letting us know! This one makes me happiest of all, I think… Hi Duana, Just wanted to follow up to thank you for responding to my message!  As a reminder, we were the crazy ones contemplating naming our daughter Sesame... Full Article

This is such a pretty, pretty dress. The flutter at the shoulder is gorgeous. As for these shoes… On her they’re maybe not as offensive as they would be on someone else. But still. Still I hate them. At this point, how do you class up an extreme platform?  You can’t. It’s varying degrees of tacky, depending on the wearer, but tacky nonetheless. Full Article
