The first thought in my mind when I saw this dress was Life Of Pi. I like this dress better than I liked the movie. Everyone liked the movie. And everyone hates this dress. That sounds about right. But, really, what’s wrong with it? The dress, I mean. Are you sure it’s the dress and not the wearer? Because if Cate Blanchett was wearing it, you might not hate it so much. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Jennifer Lawrence’s lace booties

I wouldn’t buy these booties. They’re not my jam, I don’t wear a lot of lace. And I never, ever wear it on my feet. That said, they’re a good choice with this outfit. It’s a plain white dress. It’s made interesting by the belt. It’s much more interesting with the shoes. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Brit’s pink suit

I’m into it. But I’m also curious, just to see, what this would have looked like if her pants were just one size smaller. Same cut, no change to the shape of them, because Brit’s not Reese Witherspoon, we don’t need them tapered at the ankle and tighter, but just one size smaller. Full Article

I loathe this outfit. It might end up being one of the worst outfits of the year for me. Definitely it’s the worst outfit I’ve seen in a long time on Diane Kruger, maybe ever. For starters, that f-cking taffeta. Like, I’m not even sure teenagers wear taffeta to the prom anymore. Full Article

Smutty Fitness: Mental health is just as important as physical health

Hayley Posted by Hayley at November 6, 2015 20:37:31 November 6, 2015 20:37:31

I am an athlete, and have been my entire life. I have learned that you can push your body through anything. I have learned that pain is just something imaginary, and with a little bit of focus you can make it go away. I have taught myself that it is all mental and you can erase any thought, if you try hard enough. Full Article

Duana Names: How To Play The Name Game

Hi Duana I am expecting my 2nd girl at the end of this month. To put it mildly myself and my other half had difficulty agreeing on a name the first time around. I wanted Ellis or Archie for a girl. He wanted Kate or Anna. He refuses to entertain surnames, "boys" names or names that he will have to explain or spell. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Gwyneth’s denim culottes

Culottes are controversial. The rage I’ve seen from some people over culottes, omg. Culottes remind me of my ma. She wore culottes and a middle part and always looked glamorous. I really, really wish I could wear culottes. But I don’t have ma’s body. My legs are short. G obviously doesn’t have that problem and these look great on her. Full Article

If you’re not Liza Minelli, you really shouldn’t. And we all know, January Jones is not Liza Minelli. She’s not Betty Draper anymore either. Is that why her style has gone to sh-t? There was once a time when we could rely on January to bring something interesting and bold but not sh-tty to a red carpet. Full Article

Smutty Fitness: First Triathlon

Hi, Hayley, I'm thinking about doing my first triathlon next year, and have started swimming/spin classes once a week. I normally run a few times a week as well, and play squash, do yoga, and strength train. Any tips on how I should focus my time? I would say I think my weakest is the biking! I'm nervous about the transitions and just being able to work for that long! Thanks! ___ This brings back memories of my first triathlon. Full Article
