Duana Names: Breaking Bored

Duana Posted by Duana at January 6, 2016 21:34:19 January 6, 2016 21:34:19

Hi Duana! Just found out today that I'm having a girl! I'm writing you because I feel stuck on girl names. I don't know why but boy names came easier to me with my first born. I don't like girl names that are too flowery or overly cutesy. I like the following names but not married to any of them and they aren't in any particular order: Mabel (my late grandma's name, a contender for a middle name?), Rowan, Beatrice or Beatrix, Penelope, Bryn, Edie, Clementine, Matilda, Rosalind (I like Rosie as a nickname, my husband not as much, maybe sounds like too much a dog's name? :-), Isobel or Isabel Here are a few names I like as well but are taken by friends: Georgia, Maisie, Maeve, Stella, Astrid. Full Article

Duana Names: You May Already Be A Winner

Duana Posted by Duana at January 4, 2016 19:20:51 January 4, 2016 19:20:51

Hi Duana, My husband and I are expecting baby 2 (Jan 15). We aren't sure if we will be having a boy or girl. We have a few options for a girls name but we agreed previously we would call our second son Jack. Our first son is named Sam after one of my family members. The back story is my great-grandfather was named Sampson but went by Sam. Full Article

Don’t love the oatmeal tank underneath. But this suit. Drawstring pants. The hem of the pants falling to exactly the right point on her ankle. And the perfect slouch of the jacket. All of it overcomes the material. Not my favourite, this material.  Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Saoirse’s New Year mixed print

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 4, 2016 16:12:08 January 4, 2016 16:12:08

Right now, it seems like it’s Brie Larson who has the edge on Saoirse Ronan for Best Actress Oscar. On style though, well, Saoirse’s been bringing it for years. She’s been a Rodarte favourite forever. And I love the way she eased into New Year award schedule, with so many events back to back to back, in Palm Springs in this pretty Duro Olowu mixed print dress. Full Article

Carpets & Candids: Carrie’s New Year’s shiny suit

I don’t actually mind the suit. It was New Year’s Eve. It was shiny. It was well-tailored. It’s so much better than the dresses she wears to award shows. But then she had to go ruin it with that hair. Please promise me you will never, ever, ever ask for your hair to be styled like this… EVER. Full Article
