Lilo on Ellen
Her interview airs today, was taped yesterday. Here she is with Ali on her way there. Ellen Degeneres, as you would expect, was very sympathetic, having been through her own public breakup with Anne Heche several years ago. A few snippets have been released prior to the show – not a bad PR move for someone who has nothing to promote, and an entire to career to salvage.
Lindsay discusses her split from Samantha Ronson…vaguely:
"When you don't know you're breaking up. (It’s) really weird. (It) came out of nowhere. I had no idea what was going on. I just hadn't seen her in, like, a week. She, like, disappeared.”
Doesn’t seem like Ellen pressed her on the details: if she’s using, if she’s a crazy drama queen, if it’s all because she was raised by lunatics, and the only specifics Lindsay seems to have offered are that she and Ronson had a “really tough night” and that she was not unfaithful.
"I don't believe in cheating on someone.” Which is the most inconsequential thing to say, like, ever. No cheaters would say they “believe” in cheating. You can “not believe in cheating” and still cheat. People say sh-t like this all the time, to sound important, and it makes no f-cking sense.
Looking ahead, Lilo says the priority now is her profession. Former profession.
"I feel like I want to get my career back in shape. You know when people are together so much it gets really difficult and you forget who you are because you're more concerned about being with the other person. I think it's been really good for me. I thought it would be so much harder and it hasn't been. My sister's been here with me."
She did have a message for Samantha though:
"I really care about Samantha and we'll see what happens. Maybe when we're fully in the right place. And I love her."
But someone has to fill those lonely, sleepless nights.
And this supposedly is Chris Jepson – see attached. He’s British, 22, a bar manager, initially reported to be a paparazzo, with whom she was seen (according to Life & Style so keep your skepticism handy) in Vegas.
Smut-wise it looks promising. A new way to make headlines. This is what she lives for.
