Wait before you hate. Because it’s M.I.A. What else did you expect her to wear? And, really, WHO else did you expect her to wear. M.I.A. and Alexander Wang make sense. M.I.A. in something elegant and classic and pretty makes no f-cking sense. Why would you want to shove M.I.A. into something pedestrian and turn her into something else?

So it’s hardly a controversial dress. Especially in comparison to the video. Have you heard about the video? Or, more importantly, have you seen the video? Some say it’s twisted and disturbing. Others argue that it’s profoundly thought-provoking. Whatever it is it’s definitely a conversation. Unlike Christina Aguilera’s rather pathetic Not Myself Tonight.

Born Free is below. But WARNING: it’s extremely violent, the imagery may not be for you, the explicitness is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.
