Ryan: Scarlett or Charlize?

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 13, 2011 07:10:52 July 13, 2011 07:10:52

You know, if you’re going to make up a story, at least make sure you get the location and the date right. It’s a basic, basic requirement. Because isn’t it important to know when and where? Life & Style is reporting that Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson may not be done with each other yet because the two were seen at a restaurant in LA on July 9th sharing an intimate dinner. Full Story

Those of you who've been reading my blog a while know I used to work at Covenant House Vancouver. Covenant House offers programmes and assistance for homeless and at-risk youth who are trying to turn it around. We provide food, shelter, clothing, and care to young people through our crisis centre. Full Story

The Green Lantern comes home

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 11, 2011 10:35:08 July 11, 2011 10:35:08

Ryan Reynolds, as of yesterday at least, is home in Vancouver, hanging out with family, some buddies, in Yaletown and Kitsilano. Apparently he was at the Yaletown Keg on Saturday, then moved over to the Yaletown Brew Co. And yesterday it was Local. These photos are from Sunday. Brand new Chucks? He looks good, right? Ryan is in town for some down time presumably before promotion for his next release The Change-Up on August 5th. Full Story

Will & Kate at the rodeo

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 8, 2011 10:55:58 July 8, 2011 10:55:58

Stampede! I’ve only been to Stampede once. And for 8 hours on a shoot, that’s it. One day... So Prince William and Catherine arrived in Calgary yesterday in time for the “world’s richest rodeo” and were presented with white hats. Kate also met 6 year old Diamond Marshall. Full Story

Royal Slapshot

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 6, 2011 07:45:46 July 6, 2011 07:45:46

Well...not really. But he tried. Prince William and Catherine spent the day in the Northwest Territories yesterday. In the capital, there was a walkabout at Somba K'e Civic Park and they attended a youth parliament session. Then they hopped on a float plane to Blachford Lake where they toured the Dechinta Centre for Research and Learning, called a “bush university”, which offers northern aboriginal studies into the curriculum alongside conventional academic approach all on a wilderness campus. Full Story

Will trash-talks!

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 5, 2011 09:37:25 July 5, 2011 09:37:25

Found them! The trash-talking Prince William shots. Some agencies are willing to go with them...conveniently after my last post – yay! As you can see, the Prince is throwing down with his wife in the dragon boat during their race. Word is they’re very competitive. And, well, it shows. Today in Yellowknife, they’re supposed to play street hockey. Full Story

Duke, Duchess, Douche!

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 5, 2011 08:40:30 July 5, 2011 08:40:30

Am attaching more photos of Prince William and Catherine yesterday in PEI during their dragon boat competition. Remember when I said they were trash-talking? Well, in these photos, it’s more like he was trash-talking her. And then, as you know, at the end of it, they hugged Full Story

A Royal Hug!

They’re hugging!!! Did you watch the Royal Dragon Boat Race? Prince William and Catherine competed against each other in a dragon boat race in PEI today after Will landed a rescue helicopter. As they were racing, they were kinda trash-talking each other. Not like civilian style, of course, but in the classiest way possible. Full Story

The Cambridges in Canada

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 4, 2011 08:32:57 July 4, 2011 08:32:57

It was such a full schedule, I can barely keep track of all their activities since I last wrote about them on Friday. Have decided then to cover the Royal Tour in Canada by Kate’s outfits. The last outfit posted was the white dress with the maple leaf red hat. After that they attended a Canada Day fireworks show and concert (in purple), they planted a tree (in grey) close to where Charles and Diana planted one many years before (and Will displayed some restrained emotion while reading the plaque), they visited with sick children at Sainte-Justine University Hospital in Montreal (still in grey), they also attended a cooking class and wore chef’s smocks, then it was off to Quebec City (in blue) where they spent time with at-risk youth, and somewhere in there they found time for a rowboat ride and a few hours of romantic quiet time on a lake. Full Story

Kate’s Maple Leaf

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 1, 2011 08:47:21 July 1, 2011 08:47:21

Prince William and Catherine have just departed a citizenship ceremony today, the first stop on their Canada Day itinerary. She wore a Maple Leaf broach on her left side. Apparently this was a loaner from the Queen. Can you see the maple leaves in her hat? I’m wondering if that might not be a liiiiiiiiiittle bit of overkill. Full Story
