Exactly 2 months ago, on January 12th, 2010, an earthquake devastated the Haitian landscape… but not the Haitian spirit. K’Naan’s Wavin’ Flag is the anthem for Young Artists for Haiti, recorded by some of the biggest names in Canadian music in support of earthquake relief efforts. Full Story

Here he is – Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Vancouver yesterday with Seth Rogen on the set of the cancer movie that was previously titled I’m With Cancer but now seems to have no name. As you now know, JGL stepped in to replace James McAvoy in the lead role about a 25 year old comedy writer diagnosed with cancer, the true life story of Seth’s friend Will Reiser. Full Story

McJakey & the Mighty Opes!

It’s the new campaign: make McJakey happen! And it sounds like you’re all over it too. Well...most of you. The McGoslings can’t move on. And they hit me hard with hate yesterday. Here’s a sample from Linda in Calgary: Stop pushing that stupid idiot Jake Gyllenhale on Rachel. Rachel and Ryan belong together, you will see. Full Story

Post By Duana & Lainey So tonight Lara says "Everything is right in the world when Rachel McAdams is around" which is so true. But the other half of it is that I just want everything to be OK for Rachel. She's a hometown girl, and I don't think anyone worried about her until post-Gosling. Full Story

Worst Giveaway: Ryan Reynolds

Post By Duana & Lainey This isn't actually a beef with Ryan Reynolds himself, who seemed to spend the entirety of the Red Carpet talking about what BFFs he and Sandra Bullock are, and how they have been for many years. But I did, a little bit, feel that with that sentiment so fresh in my mind, having Ryan brought out to introduce The Blind Side - doesn't it kind of give it away? A little? I actually really appreciate the genuine friendships that abound in the Kodak Theatre - at least, it seemed tonight, the ones associated with Sandra Bullock who could do no wrong. Full Story

Sometimes I worry...

About his arms. It’s not that I’m complaining that Ryan Gosling is fit. Of course not. Hell no. But I was having this conversation with a friend recently and ... well... Ryan Gosling is also not Kellan Lutz. He doesn’t have to be. So when I see these biceps busting and they seem to be busting more and more these days, I worry he’s hittin’ the gym all the time. Full Story

On your 28th birthday – just received your email. By request, am attaching some Ryan Gosling goodness for you even though it means my productivity has been compromised. Missed this photo during the Olympics – he went on a date for Valentine’s Day with some broad and came with a love balloon. Full Story

Thank you. It’s not that I don’t appreciate it – I do. Many of you have been forwarding the link, and before today I managed to avoid watching due to the Olympic crush. But now it’s back to normal and it’s harder to resist though that still doesn’t mean that I can handle it. Full Story

Bedraggled but back together

As you saw yesterday, Avril Lavigne attended the UK premiere of Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland. Next to the glamour of Anne Hathaway, Avril was more Helena Bonham Carter than glamourous starlet, only Helena does it with a sense of humour and a f-cking awesome cool that makes whatever she wears totally irrelevant. Full Story

Tonight in London, the premiere of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Can’t decide if I like Anne Hathaway’s dress. Love the colour, love the styling, but maybe the chest is pulled up too high? Not important. I don’t have to like the dress to like the overall look. The overall look is lovely, sultry, sleek, sexy. Full Story

The classic coat

If you’re Canadian you know this coat. It’s part of Canadian fashion history, was unconsidered uncool for a while, and has now been resurrected, tweaked, and remarketed... with so much buzz that they’re all over it in New York. Jeanne Beker of Fashion Television wears hers all around town. Full Story
