Look at me like you look at her

I cursed Shannon for sending me this video of Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams at Sundance being interviewed for Blue Valentine. You’ll know why as soon as you hit play, the way he focuses on what she says, the way he can’t take his eyes off her, how he follows her eyes with his eyes from the side, and then he touches her. Full Story

Grammy Country Bitch and the Senator

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 1, 2010 07:29:41 February 1, 2010 07:29:41

He rushed to LA to be by her side after Hockey Day in Canada as the Senators schedule conveniently allowed for Mike Fisher to join his fiancée for Grammy weekend where they made their official Hollywood debut. However, Carrie Underwood walked the carpet alone, telling Ryan Seacrest that she didn’t want to feed Fisher to the wolves just yet. Full Story

Free hands, no pockets

We run on weekends in the endowment lands, a forest in Vancouver with great trails and light hills and the most beautiful trees, and a section that looks like the ewok territory from Return of the Jedi. I used to go alone, with Marcus, but Fiona and head up there together because there are now some safety concerns after an attack last year. Full Story

You snuck up on me

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 29, 2010 08:58:21 January 29, 2010 08:58:21

It’s been a busy week, haven’t had a chance to read Entertainment Weekly as thoroughly as I normally do, but wanted to do some Lost prep before the big premiere next Tuesday (jumpy claps!) and there he is, lasering my loins again, a quiveration sniper, in two photos that conjure up the sad fantasies. Full Story

Now go away for a while

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 27, 2010 09:01:00 January 27, 2010 09:01:00

Three days in a row of this quiveration agony. It’s too much. Despite my affinity for vodka, I am a rather disciplined person. I will work through anything, I don’t need much sleep, I have a very controlled approach to my life almost to the point of neurosis, especially while blogging. I’m the one for example, and Laura sees this all the time, who can shut out conversations around me, as gossipy and dishy as they are, when I need to pound out a post. Full Story

Ryan ambush

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 26, 2010 09:49:49 January 26, 2010 09:49:49

He ambushed me this morning. Totally killed my morning. As noted yesterday, I try to stay away from Ryan Gosling when I need to con-cen-trate. Ryan is not good for productivity. But there he was, like a laser to the loins on the photo agency sites this morning, a quiveration ambush, and it’s too much, way too much. Full Story

Canada For Haiti

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 25, 2010 06:31:00 January 25, 2010 06:31:00

Canadians were generous. VERY, very generous. Nelly opened, Gord closed, K’naan and Metric delivered emotional performances, and at my last check on Saturday afternoon we raised $13.3 million to be matched by the Canadian government for a total and counting of $26 million and this does not include other concurrent fundraisers across the country. Full Story

Best SAG: Marion & Diane

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 25, 2010 06:13:00 January 25, 2010 06:13:00

Both have the Guillaume Canet connection and they were seated at the Weinstein table. Awkward or no? There was a lot of white at the SAGs. I’m biased, I guess, but no one was better than my Marion Cotillard. The side swept hair, so chic, the short length was perfect, the feathers were sublime, and the way she sweetly applauded everyone so enthusiastically beside DDL in the front row, enchanting. Full Story

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 19, 2010 08:05:00 January 19, 2010 08:05:00

I was all over it during our live blog on Sunday night and then totally forgot in the rush of getting out the photos yesterday. Then my friend L emailed and it all came back. This moment, like WHO’s NATALIE????????????????????, totally made my Globes. It’s the small gifts in life. Remember when Brendan Fraser was spastic? No? You missed it? Thanks God Full Story

The greatest gift of all time ever and ever

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 13, 2010 07:53:33 January 13, 2010 07:53:33

How about some Celine on a Wednesday? You love it. I love it! Celine Dion took her tour around the world last year. She gifted her voice to millions of people and they gifted her back with love and devotion, mesmerised by her bedazzled crotch. What? Yes. The trailer. See if for yourself. Celine Dion: Through the Eyes of the World will hit theatres next month. Full Story
