See now they’re only shooting a scene here on the New York set of Thanks For Sharing but, like, I totally buy that Gwyneth Paltrow would be into Mark Ruffalo and vice versa. The way she’s touching her mouth while they’re talking. The way they can’t stop smiling. The way she’s giving him a nice ass shot, “stretching” mid-conversation. Full Story

I’m sure you’ve heard by now of Occupy Wall Street. I’m sure you have your own for/against opinion of it. And I’m sure you don’t need to read about my opinion of it here since this is a site for, primarily, smut and trash and their interchangeable relationship. Full Story

Mark almost quit

Who doesn’t love Mark Ruffalo? Duana loves Mark Ruffalo. A LOT. The way I know this is because Duana is the most proper of all of us. Whereas Sasha and I can talk sh-t, literally, all day long, there’s a look of disapproval that comes over Duana’s face whenever we engage in, you know, the icky subjects. Full Story

Pre-Oscar Best Couples

Sending some love your way in advance of the big show. And the kind that isn't nauseating. Duana just used this word on the phone with me a few minutes ago to describe Natalie Portman. More on this later. Right now, there's nothing revolting about Colin Firth and the beautiful Livia at Tom Ford's party last night - so elegant, so genuinely into each other, so ready for a motherf-cking win on Sunday. Full Story

6 narcissists at the table

Lainey Posted by Lainey at December 3, 2010 08:10:00 December 3, 2010 08:10:00

This is your weekend assignment. Because who has the time during the week to spend an hour on this, even though it’s 60 minutes of pure amazingness? The Hollywood Reporter Actors’ Roundtable is embedded below. Enjoy it, maybe over breakfast on Sunday, really savour the experience. I broke it up into two parts on Wednesday night during my playlist making, loved it, but wonder if I would have even more if I hadn’t paused. Full Story

The Kids Are All Right in London

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 25, 2010 16:07:23 October 25, 2010 16:07:23

Director Lisa Chodolenko and stars Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo were in London tonight to promote the film at the UK premiere. Love the movie. Love them. Love Julianne. Love Julianne’s fuchsia lipstick. I’ve been obsessed with my fuchsia lipstick since summer and have worn it every single day since and still am not sick of it. Full Story

On The Kids Are All Right

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 14, 2010 13:29:32 July 14, 2010 13:29:32

It was playing at ONE theatre for only ONE showing on Sunday. 10am. Made me crazy. But I dragged my sick ass out of bed last weekend because I wanted to see it so badly. Jacek came with me. And it was SO worth it. You already know about the Oscar buzz coming right out of Sundance. And given its reviews so far, the Oscar buzz is still building. Full Story

The one that won’t suck

Lainey Posted by Lainey at June 18, 2010 15:59:00 June 18, 2010 15:59:00

Mark Harris wrote a great article in the last issue of Entertainment Weekly about the piss poor offering at the movies this year. As in quality. This is not about the box office, this is about good films. And there haven’t been many. So few that How to Train Your Dragon is one of the only ones that’s top of mind. Full Story

Mark’s back

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 12, 2010 14:06:35 February 12, 2010 14:06:35

Mark Ruffalo arrived in Berlin today presumably to promote Shutter Island with Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio. He’s gradually edging back into the public eye following the death of his brother. Last year Mark went ahead on production of his Sympathy for Delicious which recently screened at Sundance. Full Story

So nice to see you again

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 27, 2009 09:02:12 October 27, 2009 09:02:12

Mark Ruffalo. He’s kept a very low profile this year but can be seen briefly in Where The Wild Things Are and was spotted running errands yesterday in Beverly Hills. Looks good, non? Everyone likes Mark Ruffalo. Have never heard anything against him, all journalists enjoy him, he is delightful and sweet and funny and smart and really hot in The Brothers Bloom which is available on DVD now and you should watch it, and three years ago at TIFF, when Joaquin Phoenix was a f-cking mess, it was Mark who kept telling him to go home, to take it easy, who kept his arm around him and held him up, who affectionately protected him and teased him and lightened his mood. Full Story

Three Whiskers got a job!

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 28, 2009 06:42:00 January 28, 2009 06:42:00

It’s been a long, long time. And he owes Mark Ruffalo. Mark is directing a new film called Sympathy for Delicious and because he’s the sweetest guy ever has charitably offered Orlando Bloom a part. But can Orly keep up? Delicious also stars the underrated Laura Linney who, obviously, can act circles around Orly’s pretty (but useless) little ass. Full Story
