May 27, 2014 – Smutty Shout-Out for SickKids
Unabashed and unmissable, Soirée Under the Stars will be an evening of fabulous fashion, food and entertainment. On June 12, join Toronto’s philanthropic shining stars and light up Evergreen Brick Works. Now in its 13th year, Scrubs in the City has become one of Toronto's most anticipated social events of the season and has raised a total of more than $2.4 million for SickKids. Net proceeds from Soirée Under the Stars will support the SickKids Operating Suites Redevelopment Project. SickKids performs more than 12,000 surgeries annually to some of the most critically ill children from around the world — more than any other paediatric hospital in Canada. The current operating suites at SickKids are 25 years old and the existing equipment has become obsolete. Increased volume and complexity of surgeries mean that updating and expanding this facility is necessary to save young lives. Just as SickKids is consistently innovating paediatric research and care, the hospital’s technology must reflect that mandate. Your philanthropy at this year’s event will be the first step towards updating this vital centre. Click here to buy tickets, donate, or for more details.
