Prince William and Princess Catherine have taken some heat lately in the press for being lazy and not participating as much in the royal obligation as their really, really old grandfather Prince Philip. This wouldn’t be a problem if they were more accessible to the media. When we watched the Oscars the other night there were a few times—maybe more than a few—where Lainey and I and our friends rolled our eyes at a moment or mocked a technical bobble, and then immediately said “oh, but we’re cynical TV assholes”. There is a lot that I know we criticize that other people are not worrying about (but how could you miss the guy holding up part of the Lady Gaga set?!). Full Story

Spotlight won Best Picture on Sunday at the Oscars. It was one of my top films coming out of TIFF. Yes for Spotlight. Last year Birdman was Best Picture. So that's two in a row for Michael Keaton. Will it be three? Michael's next major role will be Ray Kroc, of McDonald's, in The Founder. Full Story
