Sophie Hunter accompanied Benedict Cumberbatch last night at the NY premiere of The Imitation Game. Just yesterday on Good Morning America he was not very forthcoming with questions about his engagement. And then, come night, there she is. Their very first official public appearance after the proposal… And right in the heat of a Best Actor Oscar race. Full Story

Remember that rumoured Vanity Fair “takedown” of Gwyneth we were all waiting for? It never materialized, obviously, with Graydon and Gwyneth making nice over a phone call and a jab at his weight. But it hasn’t been a stellar 2014 for Gwyneth, considering the conscious uncoupling and the disclosure of Goop’s shaky financials. Full Story

I updated the Rachel McAdams article from earlier with some new information – click here to read it. Not that that has anything to do with Jake Gyllenhaal. But it SHOULD. And it COULD. Because, well, go read the post. Anyway, here’s Jake Gyllenhaal in New York today at a press preview for Constellations. Full Story

The Imitation Game opens in theaters next weekend, and in advance of that Cumberbatch is in the US doing some promotion. On Friday that meant showing up at the Hollywood Film Awards and pretending like that’s a real thing (click here for more on that) and this morning it was an interview on Good Morning America. Full Story

Keira’s playing too

Keira Knightley went full angel at the Hollywood Film Awards in an exquisite Giambattista Valli dress. That applique around the neck and down one arm is pure gorgessity and, God, I love the sleeves. Not even those sh-tty shoes could take away from it. So they gave her the Best Supporting Actress Award. Full Story

Hands-free Alexander Skarsgard

Alexander Skarsgard was photographed hands-free on Saturday at a gas station in Hollywood. This hands-free gas pumping thing is like Bigfoot to me. I’ve been driving for 25 years (f-ck me, I’m old) and I’ve never, ever, ever found a hands-free pump. Is it an American thing? Jacek and I talked about it this morning when he was driving me to work. Full Story

The race for Best Actor will be between Michael Keaton, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Eddie Redmayne this year. All three were at the Hollywood Film Awards. All three received awards at the Hollywood Film Awards. Jesus, is this show business or is this grade school? As we’ve seen, Keaton had the early lead in this category since Venice. Full Story

As promised, here are shots of the Brange arriving at the world premiere of Unbroken today in Sydney. Brad was previously in South Korea and Japan promoting Fury. Angelina, you’ll note, was in Malta directing By The Sea for most of the Fury promotion. They’ve managed though to arrange their schedules so that the push for Unbroken will happen when both of them can work the promotion together. Full Story

Katherine Heigl’s countdown

Katherine Heigl’s return to television is happening on Monday night, NBC 10pm. They gave her the timeslot right behind The Voice. Which is generous. Which means that, at least in its first week, State Of Affairs should do OK. But will it last? So far I’ve read two reviews. Yahoo TV Full Story

Robert Pattinson’s patch

Robert Pattinson gave us a good look at his haircut last night at the GOGO Gala in Beverly Hills. He shaved too. And from the front, it’s not bad. That’s the best suit I’ve seen on him in a long time, no sign of any mothering hip action at all. He even seems young and more English again. Full Story

Jennifer Lawrence's interviews with David Letterman are always must-see TV. Brimming with confidence - sometimes with the help of a blanket - J.Law typically drops truth bombs on the show. Last night, she clearly identified Nicholas Hoult as her ex in a story about ghosts.  But with the Mockingjay movies wrapped, even Dave is most interested in what Katniss is doing next. Full Story
