I’m not as hype on Michael Fassbender as the rest of you are. Which is why, to me, the best part of his GQ interview is that James McAvoy is in it. ESQUIRE named Scarlett Johansson the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2006. And again this year. She is the magazine’s first repeat SWA. And no argument here. You see my Five List? She’s on my Five List. It’s undeniable. It was recently confirmed that Scarjo is engaged to Romain Dauriac. Full Story

Meg Ryan. It’s a name that doesn’t come up often, but is instantly recognizable. Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan – America’s Sweethearts, through and through. But sometimes the Sweetheart stumbles: Julia’s had her share of romantic entanglements (which have probably just made her more endearing), Reese told an officer he didn’t have jurisdiction over the ground he speaks on (yes, speaks) and Sandra Bullock had a pretty awful divorce (but none of that was her doing and she handled it like a pro). Full Story

And already a few films are getting the f-ck out of its way. Still, there are several contenders that have time to build momentum, including David O Russell’s American Hustle and George Clooney’s Monuments Men so Brad Pitt’s starting early. Full Story

I think you, me and the rest of us gossips have that same instinct for when a celebrity is being groomed and pushed on us as The Next Big Thing. We’ve felt it SO many times - we all felt it with Anne, we felt it with Amanda Seyfried, we felt it with Ryan Reynolds (and Gosling!), and for a while now we’ve been feeling it with Michael B Jordan. Full Story

Last week, The Hollywood Reporter posted a thorough (if not-so-surprising) piece on the antics of Katherine Heigl and her momager, Nancy. Click here a refresher. Difficult, abrasive, and her own worst enemy – that pretty much sums up Katherine’s reputation. Full Story

It was reported just a few weeks ago that Meryl Streep would not contend for Best Actress at the Oscars in March and that, instead, she would be submitted in the Supporting category, with Julia Roberts representing August: Osage County in the lead to take on Cate Blanchett, the current frontrunner for Blue Jasmine. Full Story

EL James, the author of Fifty Shades Of Grey, announced yesterday that she’d found an actress to play her in her fantasy with Robert Pattinson. Dakota Johnson will be Anastasia Steele. Charlie Hunnan is Christian Grey. So the biggest move of his career is a replacement for Robert Pattinson. What was your motivation Charlie? Imagining EL James imagining Pattinson going down on Kristen Stewart, basically. Full Story
