ESQUIRE named Scarlett Johansson the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2006. And again this year. She is the magazine’s first repeat SWA. And no argument here. You see my Five List? She’s on my Five List. It’s undeniable. It was recently confirmed that Scarjo is engaged to Romain Dauriac. Full Story

The 50-something Sweetheart

Maria Posted by Maria at October 3, 2013 14:40:47 October 3, 2013 14:40:47

Meg Ryan. It’s a name that doesn’t come up often, but is instantly recognizable. Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan – America’s Sweethearts, through and through. But sometimes the Sweetheart stumbles: Julia’s had her share of romantic entanglements (which have probably just made her more endearing), Reese told an officer he didn’t have jurisdiction over the ground he speaks on (yes, speaks) and Sandra Bullock had a pretty awful divorce (but none of that was her doing and she handled it like a pro). Full Story

Game on f-ckers: Brad Pitt kicks off his campaign

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 2, 2013 20:17:47 October 2, 2013 20:17:47

12 Years A Slave opens (limited) in a couple of weeks. It’s coming off big, BIG buzz in Telluride and then at TIFF where it was almost unanimously declared the frontrunner for Oscar, already. Still, there are several contenders that have time to build momentum, including David O Russell’s American Hustle and George Clooney’s Monuments Men so Brad Pitt’s starting early. Full Story

Katherine Heigl is going to be great!

Maria Posted by Maria at September 16, 2013 14:18:56 September 16, 2013 14:18:56

Last week, The Hollywood Reporter posted a thorough (if not-so-surprising) piece on the antics of Katherine Heigl and her momager, Nancy. Click here a refresher. Difficult, abrasive, and her own worst enemy – that pretty much sums up Katherine’s reputation. Full Story

Only Meryl can take on Cate

Lainey Posted by Lainey at September 10, 2013 14:18:26 September 10, 2013 14:18:26

It was reported just a few weeks ago that Meryl Streep would not contend for Best Actress at the Oscars in March and that, instead, she would be submitted in the Supporting category, with Julia Roberts representing August: Osage County in the lead to take on Cate Blanchett, the current frontrunner for Blue Jasmine. Full Story

EL James, the author of Fifty Shades Of Grey, announced yesterday that she’d found an actress to play her in her fantasy with Robert Pattinson. Dakota Johnson will be Anastasia Steele. Charlie Hunnan is Christian Grey. So the biggest move of his career is a replacement for Robert Pattinson. What was your motivation Charlie? Imagining EL James imagining Pattinson going down on Kristen Stewart, basically. Full Story

Some alternate titles I came up with for this post: Tangoing with Xenu, Don’t Step on Tom Cruise’s Toes and Will Shelly Miscavige Sit In The Front Row? Leah Remini is confirmed as a contestant on season 17 (how has it had 17 seasons?!) of Dancing With the Stars. I know, I know, not exactly must-watch TV BUT – it’s popular and family-friendly, both key components in a battle against Xenu. Full Story
