Jenna Tatum and a Panda

Maria Posted by Maria at April 9, 2013 14:35:47 April 9, 2013 14:35:47

What’s cuter than a pregnant woman with a teddy bear? That’s rhetorical, because nothing, obviously. I know very little about Jenna Dewan-Tatum, except that she dated Justin Timberlake, post-Britney/pre-Cameron. And of course she’s married to Channing Tatum. This is where celebrity hierarchy becomes fascinating, because when they first hooked up, they were both solid Cs, having starred in Step Up together. Full Story

Justin Timberlake played golf with Kiefer Sutherland this weekend in Brentwood. Pipsqueak’s head is extra extra big right now because of how well The 20/20 Experience sold in its first week. And his summer tour with Jay-Z is also doing great numbers. Not bad for an album that was put together in only 20 days. Full Story

All the paps just hanging out on a “gut” feeling today at Bristol Farms were rewarded with a big get -- Taylor Swift grocery shopping, like she’s even pushing her own cart. There are, um, two bags in that cart. When you go grocery shopping, do you put your two bags in the cart, then push the cart to the car, then go back and return the cart? This, to me, is a pain in the ass and a waste of time. Full Story

Will Smith’s career strategy is not a mystery. He’s spoken in the past about choosing roles because they would be blockbusters, about deliberately deciding not to pursue the kind of interesting and diverse roles like he did back in the Six Degrees of Separation days because he valued A-list success over credibility. Full Story

Searching for Patrick Dempsey

Lainey Posted by Lainey at March 25, 2013 14:40:18 March 25, 2013 14:40:18

Remember Outbreak? Patrick Dempsey and his monkey? Brad Pitt is looking for him. This was my first thought seeing the new trailer for World War Z. Brad is Dustin Hoffman. Is he looking for Patient Zero? Does he have a multipurpose assistant like Cuba Gooding Jr? How was he a stunt helicopter pilot AND a scientist AND a sharpshooter AND a bodyguard ALL AT THE SAME TIME!?! Anyway, as you can see below, “outbreak” is what they’re going with here as promotional strategy for Brad’s mega expensive summer movie, opening in June. Full Story

Beyonce for H&M

They’re calling it a partnership. When did spokesperson become a bad word? This is Beyonce for H&M. They say she had a hand in the design of the pieces in the campaign, inspired by her “individual style”. Sure. And the advertisements, soon to be staring at you in the face while you commute, will read: "Beyoncé as Mrs Carter in H&M" Look, putting aside how you feel about her and how tired you are of choking on her ego, let’s examine this from a brand marketing perspective because it’s quite intriguing. Full Story

It’s only lunch. Try not to roll your eyes so hard you have to go home. Here’s Jessica Alba on the morning show circuit in New York. She’s promoting her new book The Honest Life, evidently a companion to her company, The Honest Company -- green for baby, or something. Here’s the headline that accompanied her interview video on Good Morning America Full Story
