That is a good movie and it opened up Bond to a new generation of fans. He reprised the role in 2008’s Quantum of Solace, a bad movie with a baffling title that links the events of the previous film to a larger conspiracy in a wholly unnecessary way. Full Story

Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Patrick Dempsey were all photographed today in London shooting Bridget Jones’s Baby. Mark Darcy, as always, looks smart in his overcoat and his suit. But the new guy? The “other” guy? Whoever he is? Of course the other guy rides a bike. And of course Bridget would be giggling about it. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Pretty excited about this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly with Eddie Redmayne on the cover as Newt Scamander in a feature about Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. At the same time, I’m not sure I want to read it.  Read Full Intro

Victor Frankenstein opens later this month, so James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe are out and about promoting it, looking handsome and wee. DanRad is sporting a shaved head, which makes his eyes look enormous, and McAvoy looks like his usual self. He does nothing for me, but I know I’m in the minority on this one. Full Story

Ben Affleck is working on Live By Night in Georgia. He stars and directs. It was reported the other day that Miguel has joined the cast. Miguel. OMG Miguel. Miguel was on The Social a few months ago. He is not tall, not tall at all. But he packs a LOT of sex in that body, holy f-ck. Anyway, Miguel’s making a solid cast even stronger. Full Story

New New Star Wars has no right eyes

Sarah Posted by Sarah at November 5, 2015 17:50:39 November 5, 2015 17:50:39

Character posters for Star Wars: The Force Awakens were released yesterday, featuring Han Solo and Princess Leia, plus John Boyega’s Finn, Daisy Ridley’s Rey, and Adam Driver’s bad guy, Kylo Ren. For some reason, they all have their right eyes obscured. The Force hates righties? Also apparently the Force hates Luke Skywalker because he has once again been omitted from the marketing materials—it’s almost like they’re saving Luke for a big mid-movie reveal or something. Full Story

The Girl On The Train is the bestselling book of the year so far according to the New York Times. In April, the Daily Beast called it the fastest selling adult novel in history. So I’ve no doubt that a lot of you know the story, know the characters, and will see the movie. Full Story

Sarah usually keeps me posted on all kinds of Marvel rumours. Sometimes I’m like…um… speak slower to me and talk in civilian language because I don’t understand your comic book pentameter. Sometimes I’m like… WHAT? Cate Blanchett, really? I don’t think I remember her telling me that Jennifer Lawrence is being considered for Captain Marvel though. Full Story

When Angelina Jolie told the world about her double mastectomy, she wrote it in an op-ed in the New York Times. When she told the world earlier this year about having her ovaries removed, she wrote it in an op-ed in the New York Times. So it makes sense that she would grant the New York Times an interview to promote By The Sea and be open to them asking her about her marriage, her working relationship with her husband, sexism in Hollywood, and, yes, the Sony hack. Full Story
