Ava DuVernay has been working on A Wrinkle In Time. The film’s budget is at least $100 million making her the first black woman to direct a movie of that size. She posted on Instagram the other day that principle photography is now complete and now they’re in post:   Moving out of my trailer on set and into the edit bay. The next phase of WRINKLE IN TIME is about to begin! 🙌🏾 Full Story

Deadpool 2 doesn’t have a set release date—a minor miracle these days, when movies are slated years in advance and rushed to meet predetermined deadlines—but it’s aiming for a 2018 release, which means it’s casting up right now. Atlanta’s Zazie Beetz is on tap to play Domino Full Story

Dear Gossips,

You know who’s been really, really quiet? Taylor Swift. There hasn’t been much on social media. She hasn’t been papped in weeks. Ed Sheeran’s been seen leaving her NYC apartment. But she herself has managed to stay pretty undercover.  Read Full Intro

You know the story: Belle’s a bookworm who doesn’t fit in, there’s a beast, a cursed castle, and lots of musical numbers. The live action remake of Beauty and the Beast changes little of the main plot, but it does take pains to address some questions that have lingered in the twenty-six years since the animated movie came out, like “why did the servants get cursed, too?” (because they “did nothing” about the prince turning into a spoilt nightmare person), and “can anyone in the village read besides Belle and the book guy?” (no). Full Story

Chris Evans is “surrendering”

Today in This Is A Terrible F*cking Idea, Seriously, Whose Idea Was This news, Warner Brothers is exploring the possibility of rebooting The Matrix. Everything is sequels and reboots these days, so it’s not outside the realm of expectation that someone would have this idea—apparently producer Joel Silver had previously approached the studio about doing a new/another Matrix movie—it’s just that it’s so obviously a bad idea I can’t believe it’s survived long enough to make into a trade. Full Story
