There’s an epidemic in Hollywood, a rash spreading through production offices like a bad case of pink eye, and it’s the trend of dumb subtitles given to franchise pictures. My #1 stupid title punching bag is Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which I call Superhero Face Punch because that is clearly a better, more to-the-point title. Full Story

Earlier this year, Gawker leaked a Quentin Tarantino script for a Western called The Hateful Eight. Tarantino pitched a huge fit, said he was cancelling the movie, and then sued Gawker Media. Now, ten months later, he’s preparing to shoot The Hateful Eight and he’s dropped that lawsuit against Gawker. Full Story

The Mockingjay Part 1 premiere is Monday. Now that no one knows sh-t about whether or not Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin are still together it's given everyone permission to make up stories. This one comes from The Daily Mail. They're saying that Martin Lawrence is on and that Chris will be with Jennifer at the premiere but not walk the carpet but totally be her date inside the event. Full Story

Last summer Now You See Me, the movie about bank-robbing magicians, trucked to over $117 million at the domestic box office, qualifying it as a sleeper hit. Accordingly, it’s getting a sequel, because movies can no longer stand alone. If it makes even the least little bit of money, it’s going to get sequelized (see also: Hansel & Gretel 2: Hahahaha). Full Story

Since we’ve seen much of Alexander Skarsgard. He was practically invisible during promotion for the final season of True Blood. Work scheduling, of course, of course, of course. But probably not at all disappointed since he’s done with television and in a hurry to become a movie star. Tarzan is what he’s been shooting in England. Full Story
