About 11 months ago I wrote about the impending Entourage movie and at the time, this was my plot prediction: "Vince is happily married to the reporter he met at the end of the final season – they have 4 kids. Eric is now a big player in Hollywood, Johnny Drama is down on his luck after his TV show got cancelled and he lost all his money to a shady financial advisor; he now lives in Vince’s pool house. Full Story

The Interview is back on, kind of

Last week, following a threat from the hackers that have ruined Sony’s year, the studio decided to pull The Interview off their release slate entirely. They cancelled its release and had no plans to show it, ever, despite a huge amount of criticism that peaked with President Obama Full Story

Just watched the first trailer for Helen Mirren’s new film Woman In Gold based on the true story of Holocaust survivor Maria Altmann fight to reclaim the family art that was stolen by the Nazis, including Gustav Klimt’s Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, the woman in gold. Ryan Reynolds plays her lawyer. Full Story

Will Smith is Focus…but Hitch

Lainey Posted by Lainey at December 23, 2014 16:58:12 December 23, 2014 16:58:12

The first trailer for Will Smith’s upcoming Focus was released yesterday. He’s a con man. Margot Robbie is his protégé. While watching the first 30 seconds, I was like, oh, this feels familiar. Casting for Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic was messy even before Sony vomited bitchiness all over it. Now that it’s been re-homed at Universal, things are hopefully less dramatic around the production office, but the casting merry-go-round continues to turn. Angelina Jolie, the “rule breaker” covers the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter, the issue that members of the Academy will have during the holiday break. It’s a very strategic, very fortuitously timed release. Because it’s been kinda sh-t for the Jolie the last week or so. Full Story

Tone is everything. So maybe I’m not reading this right. Maybe the tone I’m getting out of Jon Hamm in this new interview with Radio Times is all wrong. Maybe you can help me hear it differently.
