At the Foxcatcher photo call today in Cannes – Mark Ruffalo, Channing Tatum, Steve Carell, with director Bennett Miller ahead of the big premiere and looking very confident after the press screenings. Miller delivers great work, work that’s worth waiting for. Last time it was Moneyball which went on to receive several Oscar nominations. Full Story

Ryan Reynolds, Scott Speedman, Rosario Dawson, and Mireille Enos joined director Atom Egoyan at the photo call for their film The Captive today in Cannes. They all look great. Unfortunately the film…was not well received. Grace Of Monaco was already a bust at the festival and it looks like The Captive is getting similar reviews. Full Story

There are a lot of Canadians representing at Cannes this year. Ryan Reynolds arrived in Cannes today in advance of the premiere of The Captive, directed by another Canadian, Atom Egoyan. As you know, Reynolds’s wife, Blake Lively, has already been at the festival for a couple of days and walked the carpet at the opening gala last night in her role as ambassador for L’Oreal. Full Story

Daniel Craig was wearing his hair slightly longer for a while when he was on Broadway last year for Betrayal. Last night he stepped out in New York for an event at the Museum of Modern Art with a much shorter style. You like it? Word is he’s starting work soon on the next Bond. They’re going to try to make a deal in Cannes this week for a film called The Secret In Their Eyes, adapted from the Oscar winning Argentine film of the same name. Production will begin in Boston in the fall. Fresh off his first nomination, Chiwetel Ejiofor will play the lead, a retired spy who comes back into the game because he can’t forget about a case that he couldn’t close. Full Story
