Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds were on The Today Show promoting The Croods today. Does Emma Stone have the career Ryan's wife Blake Lively was aspiring to, before she changed courses. PEOPLE had a pretty funny side-by-side today (click here to see) of Blake's style evolution from single girl to married woman. Full Story

Iron Man 3: I want to go there

Sarah Posted by Sarah at March 5, 2013 19:00:03 March 5, 2013 19:00:03

Two more months till Iron Man 3. It’s already my favorite movie of the year, to borrow Lainey’s line. And now, with two months to go, Marvel has released the final trailer, giving us our best look yet at the next phase in Marvel’s master plan. How does it look? TOTALLY AWESOME. Full Story

Will it look like this? Stuntman turned action director Jesse Johnson has put together a self-financed—well, they’re calling it a “fan film” but I think the more accurate description is sizzle reel—video of what he thinks a Wonder Woman movie should look like. He cast Danish singer Nina Bergman to play Wonder Woman and blink-or-you’ll-miss-him Peter Stormare as a Nazi (also that dude from Sons of Anarchy), and the result is proof of both what works about Wonder Woman and what doesn’t. Full Story

Paramount confirmed yesterday that Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio will be released on November 15. In other words, they’re already expecting it to be an award season contender, as most of his films usually are. Especially in a 2 movie year. In 2002 it was Gangs Of New York and Catch Me If You Can. Full Story

This time they mean business

Sarah Posted by Sarah at February 28, 2013 16:16:37 February 28, 2013 16:16:37

Despite continued assurances that Iron Man 3 won’t be all that dark, every new round of promotional imagery points toward a more serious, edgier tone than we’ve seen from Tony Stark & Co. to date. Poor Lainey is going to have a heart attack, thinking something bad happens to Pepper because every new image shows her looking increasingly more sad/depressed. Full Story

Oz: The Great And Powerful covers The Hollywood Reporter this week. It’s a good “business of Hollywood” article on Disney’s $200 million big hope and, instead of kissing the studio’s ass, asks the question: will Oz be an Alice In Wonderland, or will it be more like John Carter? Some of that responsibility falls on James Franco in the title role…even though he was actually the third choice to play the part. Full Story

Variety reported yesterday that Megan Fox will star as April O’Neill in Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Bay also confirmed it on his website. It is not an animated movie. When Sarah messaged to tell me this, my first reaction was disappointment. Full Story

Oz: The Great And Powerful premiered last night in Hollywood. Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams, who play the three witches, were all making fashion statements. Least favourite: Mila Kunis. Whatever it was it looked like Marchesa. Ashton Kutcher showed up at the event too, only he tried to go undercover. Full Story
