Emma Forrest’s Your Voice In My Head, my favourite book of 2011 -- click here for the review -- ruined books for me in 2012. And still. I’ve not loved a book that much since. Emma Watson was supposed to play Forrest in the film adaptation of Your Voice In My Head, directed by David Yates. Full Story

A husband arrives at an event. He is photographed with an attractive blonde who is not his wife. This is OK. Because the attractive blonde is his colleague. And the wife poses alone. Only in Hollywood is this normal. You’ll note, Reynolds was also happy to take pictures with Robyn Lively, Blake’s sister. Full Story

Star Trek 2 stars people other than Benedict Cumberbatch

Sarah Posted by Sarah at March 11, 2013 15:51:08 March 11, 2013 15:51:08

With two months until its premiere, Star Trek Into Darkness (which still sounds like a terrible Euro-synth pop song) is also ramping up its press machine. To date, everything has been about the mystery of Benedict Cumberbatch’s villain, but now it’s time to remind us that other people star in this movie, too. Full Story

Ryan Gosling and girlfriend Eva Mendes were in New York for the weekend to promote The Place Beyond The Pines. He wore shades. She was in a red spotted dress. They left the hotel separately for the press conference. This does not mean you should start doing gymnastics with your imagination about them breaking up. Full Story

Diane Kruger covers FLARE

Lainey Posted by Lainey at March 11, 2013 13:16:51 March 11, 2013 13:16:51

Here’s Diane Kruger on the cover and in the pages of the upcoming issue of FLARE Magazine in advance of the release of The Host. Really, really love the styling of this spread. Like ...vintage-y, right? And well done on the art direction too with the combination of pink and her red dress. Full Story

Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds were on The Today Show promoting The Croods today. Does Emma Stone have the career Ryan's wife Blake Lively was aspiring to, before she changed courses. PEOPLE had a pretty funny side-by-side today (click here to see) of Blake's style evolution from single girl to married woman. Full Story

Iron Man 3: I want to go there

Sarah Posted by Sarah at March 5, 2013 19:00:03 March 5, 2013 19:00:03

Two more months till Iron Man 3. It’s already my favorite movie of the year, to borrow Lainey’s line. And now, with two months to go, Marvel has released the final trailer, giving us our best look yet at the next phase in Marvel’s master plan. How does it look? TOTALLY AWESOME. Full Story

Wonder Woman is going to happen one of these days

Will it look like this? Stuntman turned action director Jesse Johnson has put together a self-financed—well, they’re calling it a “fan film” but I think the more accurate description is sizzle reel—video of what he thinks a Wonder Woman movie should look like. He cast Danish singer Nina Bergman to play Wonder Woman and blink-or-you’ll-miss-him Peter Stormare as a Nazi (also that dude from Sons of Anarchy), and the result is proof of both what works about Wonder Woman and what doesn’t. Full Story

Paramount confirmed yesterday that Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio will be released on November 15. In other words, they’re already expecting it to be an award season contender, as most of his films usually are. Especially in a 2 movie year. In 2002 it was Gangs Of New York and Catch Me If You Can. Full Story

This time they mean business

Sarah Posted by Sarah at February 28, 2013 16:16:37 February 28, 2013 16:16:37

Despite continued assurances that Iron Man 3 won’t be all that dark, every new round of promotional imagery points toward a more serious, edgier tone than we’ve seen from Tony Stark & Co. to date. Poor Lainey is going to have a heart attack, thinking something bad happens to Pepper because every new image shows her looking increasingly more sad/depressed. Full Story
