Sorry. Did you just choke? There wasn’t much to recommend about Twilight 4 except for when Kristen Stewart’s Bella is all emaciated and sickly because she’s carrying the baby made out of dead sperm. What is the consistency of vampire ejaculate? I bet you JK Rowling could tell you the consistency of Hippogriff ejaculate is all I’m saying. Full Story

I am fond of old romantic movies, which may be surprising, since my heart is made of roofing tar and ashes. But I do love them, I really do. To Have and Have Not, Love in the Afternoon, Roman Holiday, To Catch a Thief, Bringing up Baby, His Girl Friday, and my all-time favorite, The Thin Man. When I was a kid, I wanted to grow up to be Nora Charles, the smart, sarcastic heroine played by Myrna Loy. Full Story

I know. I go on and on about Emma Forrest’s Your Voice In My Head all the time. But it’s only because I love it so much and want you to read it. Click here for my review. And besides, it’s becoming a movie directed by Harry Potter’s David Yates and starring Emma Watson. Full Story

Can we start the week off with some love for Riggs? Riggs has had it rough the last few weeks with the John Carter debacle which... is totally not his fault, and so he won’t be blamed for it, don’t worry. It’s time then, as you do in Hollywood, to shake that sh-t off and look to the next: Battleship. Full Story

Mark Ruffalo was also on set in the afternoon with Dave Franco. Obviously we all have to see this movie. Full Story

Here’s Jennifer Lawrence all over New York the last couple days on a final hard push for The Hunger Games which, as mentioned yesterday, could open as high as $120 million but probably no lower than $80 million which is, obviously, massive. As a result, shares in Lionsgate are exploding, up almost 30% over the last month and almost 90% in 2012 alone. Full Story

In chess there is an old gambit known as the Bishop’s Opening. The general rule of thumb in chess is “knights over bishops”, which is what makes the Bishop’s Opening so effective. Players are trained to establish their knights first and develop from there, but the Bishop’s Opening establishes the bishop, which is terribly distracting. Full Story

Before you Twi-Hards get carried away with your reading limitations, I’ll say now off the top that Snow White & The Huntsman looks F-CKING AWESOME and I can’t wait to see it. I was with some Universal people all week and they promised me that it will deliver. But a good movie still must be sold. And how do we sell these days? Well, the Charlize Theron strategy seems to be based on Baby & Bitch. Full Story
