Time released its list of 100 Most Influential People of 2011 today. Heads of state, business people, politicians, scientists, celebrities, Justin Bieber, it’s the usual… And then… There’s Blake Lively. With an intro written Full Story

I read the book like everyone else who reads books on lists. I thought it was … OK. It certainly didn’t change my life or anything. Found the ending rather underwhelming. And, well, I have some serious fundamental issues with it that, um, are probably best left to another discussion. So I guess I’m not as excited about the movie as others may be. Full Story

This is Prim

Her name is Willow Shields. THR confirms that she’s officially been cast as Prim in The Hunger Games. You like? I like that she’s pretty much a total unknown. I believe that Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss would need to protect her. I am happy, so happy, that it’s not Chloe Moretz or Abigail Breslin or whoever it was that everyone was speculating about. Full Story

Duana loved Popular. Still does. Did you watch Popular? Carly Pope! She’s in a new movie. A Canadian movie. Written by a Canadian Liam Card (who hosted the first ever Smut Soiree – what’s up Liam!) co-starring another Canadian Eric McCormack and Smith Jerrod himself Jason Lewis. Lewis hit up the Marilyn Denis Show this morning to promote Textuality. Full Story

Is this your Effie?

THR is reporting that Elizabeth Banks is in talks to play Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games. Must discuss this during the liveblog. I can see what they’re going for in the sense that Effie is the ultimate packager from the Capitol. In that spirit, Effie is totally Hollywood. Full Story

Written by Sarah As you know, I love Ryan Gosling. And my favorite Ryan Gosling film is Lars and the Real Girl, which was directed by Craig Gillespie (he also did the upcoming Fright Night remake with Colin Farrell). Full Story

Lindsay LOHAN: role-stalking Blake Lively

There was a ridiculously funny story that appeared in Page Six today about Lindsay Lohan and the sh-t she’s peddling right now. As you know, Lohan is supposed to play Victoria Gotti in the Gotti biopic. The only reason she’s getting that job is because her family and the Gottis are tight. Full Story

THR is reporting that Bradley Cooper is currently negotiating to star in a remake of The Crow. From a superstition standpoint, this gives me the skeeves. Brandon Lee died on the set of the original. I’m just saying, there is bad energy all over it. Full Story

Written by SarahThe last time we saw Lars von Trier, he was scandalizing everyone with Antichrist in 2009. Now he’s back with Melancholia, a movie about the end of the world and Kirsten Dunst’s wedding. Kirsten Dunst’s wedding precipitates the end of the world? Not exactly, but there’s something about a secret planet maybe crushing the earth while Kirsten Dunst gets married. Full Story
