It’s such a cheesy f-cking expression, “Suit up”. And I LOVE IT SO MUCH. But that’s probably because I love the Avengers. If skeevy Superman Henry Cavill were saying it to skeevy Batman Ben Affleck, I’d probably feel differently. Captain America: (the Avengers) Civil War opens next week in North America. Full Story

I cannot tell you how much this casting delights me. I never think of Emily Blunt as being super-British, which is ridiculous because of course she’s British and also how do you gauge the Brit-ness of someone? But I guess, as opposed to Adele or Stella McCartney or someone who is overtly at home in London, she seems more like she’s ‘from everywhere’. Full Story

The final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse is here, and I ask this sincerely as someone who has mostly enjoyed the X-Men movies: Is ANYONE pumped for this movie? I keep forgetting it’s even coming out, and when I do remember, it’s only in the context of, “They’re opening three weeks after Captain America: Civil War? Oh boy, have fun with that. Full Story

The Huntsman: Winter’s War opened over the weekend to a resounding, “No thanks,” from audiences with an estimated $20 million opening. For comparison, Snow White and the Huntsman opened in 2012 with $56 million. Given its reported budget of $115 million (haha, yeah RIGHT) and an aggressive ad campaign, Universal is looking at a loss on this one. Full Story
