Hi Duana, My husband and I would like to consider incorporating some family names for our future children ... but we're stuck. My grandparents names are Erna and Wilfred, Geneva and Gordon but we were hoping you may be able to give us a modern spin on the names that we could consider? We like modern and trendy, but not crazy popular, we would like to avoid having to spell out the names (as my husband's 4-syllable last name usually requires spelling). Full Article

Hi Duana, I am pregnant with a girl.  I already have a son named Jack.  What do you think of the name Etta? It is a bit of a family name as my grandmother was Loretta and her mother was Henrietta. My hubby I think wants to like it, but he is still on the fence. Thanks in advance for your advice. Full Article

We already have one child, a girl named Rose. We LOVE her name and are so happy we chose it. It's just what we like in a name: traditional, feminine, easy to pronounce and spell, and not too trendy. Full Article

I would like some insight and suggestions please. We have 3 girls: Belle, Una Fae and Evangeline. We are now expecting a boy. I was quite taken aback as we thought we were 'done' with our 3 girls and thus never imagined a boy in the mix, but mother nature had other ideas. And of course, we are delighted. Full Article

Hello Duana, My girlfriend and I are pregnant with our first child. She follows your column regularly and takes your opinions on names as Gospel. Over the last few weeks we have been discussing possible child names and she seems dead-set on the name Seamus for a boy. She contends that it's cute, unique, and can stand the test of time for a boy and a man. Full Article
