Our younger daughter is going to arrive very soon and I have just found a name that my husband approves: "Adelina Lelle". Adelina means noble, Lelle means soul in Hungarian (it's not prounounced like Elle, it's more like Halle or Lel-leh). We call her Lelle, but I think it's not serious enough for a grown woman and it may be complicated to pronounce in other languages, that's why I chose Adelina as a more international first name. Full Article

Hi Duana, My husband and I are expecting our first baby boy and are really struggling with finding a name. We really like "Guerin" (Ga-rin), especially with the french "gue" spelling as my husband's family is French. Are we cursing our child with a lifetime of mispronunciation?? We also are considering Dutch names (my father's family is from/in Holland) such as Willem and Hendrik. Full Article

Duana, The hubs and I are at odds over what to name baby dos. Owen was the only name we could agree on for our first. As a teacher I had never had an Owen and appreciated the fact that it would be easy for him to learn/write (teaching a kiddo with 11 letters in their name to write their name is no easy feat). Full Article

Hi Duana, My husband is no help so I thought I'd reach out to you. Our daughter Katerine (we call her Katie) is almost two, and we're expecting another girl this summer. I always loved the name Elizabeth, but with Katy Cambridge on the scene now the combination would make it seem like we have some crazy royal fetish. Full Article

We have one daughter named Madeline Jean. Madeline was our favorite name and Jean is the name of my late mother-in-law. Now we are expecting a boy next month and cannot agree on a name for the life of us. I love James Francis. James is a great, classic name that (I think) goes with Madeline and Francis was my grandfather's name as well as my brother and father's middle names. Full Article

Hi Duana! I thought I'd get you in on a naming debate my husband and I are having. Our first child is on her way, and I really want to name her Elise. I have loved the name for years-feminine, beautiful, but not too common or fussy. (I admit to liking the name largely because I'm a big Cure fan and I love the song "A Letter To Elise". Full Article

Hi Duana. I am having trouble with my baby girl names and wanted to see if you'd weigh in. I thought I had narrowed my names down to Edie, Eleni, and Stella, but I ran the names past my family and they were unimpressed. Middle name will be Elizabeth or Cecille. It's not a total dealbreaker that my family doesn't like the names I've chosen, but it's giving me pause. Full Article
