Dolce & Gabbana. It’s not the best floral print I’ve ever seen and I’m usually meh on a strapless dress but what really saves the look is that they resisted making it shorter. That’s the perfect length for this particular full skirt.   Full Article

The dress is great. Good pattern, good colours, good fit. I don’t understand the shoe choice, at all. And also the hair, specifically whatever’s happening behind one ear. It’s messy that looks actually unkempt as opposed to deliberately so.  Full Article

Probably my favourite Sundance look so far. You don’t have to wear Erdem to Sundance. In fact, you probably shouldn’t. Sundance is, perhaps, as close to “imitable” as it gets where celebrity and civilian is concerned. We can all do a thin, slouchy, striped sweater. I really, really, REALLY love the styling here on Naomi Watts. First of all, that’s a great dress. The sleeves are gorgeous with the open back, the shape at the bottom balances it all out, and of course, the print, the print is SO lovely. On top of all that they chose the perfect hairstyle. Don’t mind the white dress and the big shoulders though I’m not sure about the size or the construction since it looks like it needs a good tug but, being Marchesa, it could simply be that it’s poorly  made. But the shoes? I don’t understand the choice of these shoes.  Full Article

This, to me, is a rare miss for her. I just don’t think this is her look. And not particularly flattering either. Because the cut-outs dip inward around the abs, the fabric widens around her hips...which...I mean why would you voluntarily step into a dress that does that? I love this dress, this whole look on Naomi Watts. I don’t know that I’d love it on many others. Maybe Charlize Theron. But definitely not, say, Cameron Diaz. Or Zoe Saldana. And it’s not like those other ladies can’t pull off a dress. But there’s some old glamour that Naomi can bring to it, with the red lips and a certain, I don’t know, classic sophistication, and you’ll note it could easily be unflattering, all loose like that, and still she wears it not like a sequined sheet but like a proper gown with movement and shape. Full Article
