Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 14, 2013 14:52:32 October 14, 2013 14:52:32

Quick recap, in case you’ve forgotten…but how could you forget? Vanity Fair wanted to do a piece on Gwyneth Paltrow who has been on the cover 5 times. She refused and sent an email to all her friends telling them to boycott the magazine. Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair, is currently promoting the 100th anniversary of the publication. Full Story

The Patriots handed the Saints their first loss of the season yesterday because, well, because Tom Brady was Tom Brady at the end of the game. New England had no business walking away with a win. And then, as he does, Brady reads the coverage and steps up and fires a perfect pass and F-CK ME my Dolphins were on bye week and why couldn’t they have stepped it up harder against the Ravens last week? But this is why I say that Jacek and most dudes I know, they would for Tom Brady. Full Story

Shia LaBeouf: GOOD for Gossip

Sarah Posted by Sarah at October 14, 2013 14:17:54 October 14, 2013 14:17:54

Shia LaBeouf, Noted Weirdo, got into a kerfuffle in London. It isn’t the first time—about a year ago he got into it at a bar over a baseball cap (because that’s a thing), and now he’s getting kicked in the nuts for filming a girl who was throwing up on the street in Leicester Square. Full Story

Charlie Hunnam avoids his Batman

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 14, 2013 14:09:15 October 14, 2013 14:09:15

Charlie Hunnam dropped out of Fifty Shades Of Grey just in time for Thanksgiving. The “official” reason according to the studio: “The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule, which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey," Bullsh-t, right? No one is believing this explanation, not even the reporters from outlets Full Story

The Walking Dead 4.1: “You don’t get to come back”

Sarah Posted by Sarah at October 14, 2013 13:59:55 October 14, 2013 13:59:55

The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 1 recap We’re embarking a new season of The Walking Dead, the first one that is Horrible Lori-free, and we’ve also disposed of Andrea who, like this show itself, never lived up to her potential but was sucky and annoying. The show has considerable ground to make up after three seasons of literal stumbling around in the wilderness, searching for a point, but there’s reason to hope Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Is it just me or did Scandal actually …slow down? A little? The show still moves at a ridiculous pace but I feel like we only blew through 4 plot developments instead of the 8 we were getting per episode last season.  Read Full Intro

Mimi’s open letter > everyone’s open letter

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 11, 2013 18:26:12 October 11, 2013 18:26:12

I should have known. It’s a holiday weekend. It’s THANKSGIVING. And you know what happens at holidays? Holidays are for Mimi. Because Mimi is a giver. She just can’t help herself. She cannot contain her generosity. Be thankful for Mimi. Because Mimi just wrote us an open letter, updating us on what’s been our primary concern – f*ck the prorogue, f-ck the government shutdown, f-ck everything…MIMI WAS INJURED. Full Story

Happy Hiddlemas, everyone!

It’s a good way to go out on a Friday. Here’s Tom Hiddleston being a big ole dork, doing an impression of Owen Wilson playing Loki. He’s a good mimic, he’s got decent delivery—how has he not done any comedies? Someone cast Hiddles in a comedy, please. Although you could argue that the Thor movies are basically comedies, but I’m not sure how much of that is intentional. Full Story

“We gotta move”

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 11, 2013 17:05:16 October 11, 2013 17:05:16

That’s a line from this new Monuments Mens trailer that was just released. And it could apply to the film’s awards season strategy too. They have to move. They have to move now because otherwise 12 Years A Slave will walk away with it. If they want to give 12 Years a run at all, they have to move. Full Story

Walking Dead and back again

Sarah Posted by Sarah at October 11, 2013 16:09:31 October 11, 2013 16:09:31

The Walking Dead returns on Sunday (recaps start Monday) and to “celebrate”, Rolling Stone has Officer Rick himself, Andrew Lincoln, on the cover, as well as new interviews with the cast. I say “celebrate” with electrical sarcasm because has any recent television show squandered more potential than The Walking Dead? The pilot was incredible but over three seasons the show has devolved into a hate-watch for many people, good mostly for spawning memes of the show’s more boneheaded characters Full Story
