I’ve always been just a little bit squicked by Amy Adams, but I figured it was my problem. After all, she is an incredible actress who is in everything, and I was in her thrall in American Hustle just like everyone else. It’s just…well, I never forget that it’s her underneath the character, you know? It’s always Amy Adams first, and everything else second. Full Story

Sea foam in 2013 was the Worst Dressed. Click here for a refresher. It was SO disappointing. Because, as we know, Jessica Chastain has all the goods. I still shudder when I think about that dress. How could they do that to her? How could she do that to herself? She returns this year in much better form. Full Story

Reese Witherspoon: Worst Fringe, Worst Colour

This…is not an easy hair length. And wearing it with a wispy, choppy fringe like that is… not exactly glamourous. Wearing it with the Miami Dolphin teal on a red carpet makes it even less glamourous. And wearing it with a dress that’s basically a floor length bra takes it straight to the high school formal. Full Story

Did you forget how annoying Paula Patton was at the Globes two years ago? (Click here but you probably don’t need to.) Perhaps she thought you did though because she decided to do it again…this time with some dirty sheets hanging off one shoulder like she’s on her way to the laundry room. Full Story

Emma Stone: The Globes Muse

Emma Stone is Woody Allen’s current muse. She was there to introduce his tribute. In front of an audience full of his muses: Diane Keaton, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Cate Blanchett… That’s not sh-tty company. Half an hour later, Blanchett won for her work in Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine. Full Story

Tatiana Maslany: Best First Outing

If you would, please raise your glass to the incredible Tatiana Maslany. This is how you do it right. You go to the awards and you look just flawless, but still your age and effortless, as opposed to some of your contemporaries who put a wee too much effort into being VERY MUCH REMEMBERED, right Emma Watson?   When you are robbed in your category because the show is not very well known, and because you are up against some of the most skilled women in the business but maybe the one who took the trophy is not actually the one who was most deserving because it was a weird mix, well, then, you just sit back, and smile. Full Story

If they could only find a way to have Emma Thompson around every year – not necessarily to present, but just to be present, to remind those assholes that they’re there to entertain, to be admired, to be recognised, to be honoured, and it’s a f-cking privilege, not the burden they can make it out to be. Full Story

Joaquin Phoenix: Globes Most Casual

Every time they cut to Joaquin Phoenix last night he was smiling, laughing even. Joaquin Phoenix having a good time at an award show? He seemed totally comfortable. Was it because he was wearing a cardigan? I just realised (it’s 3:45am ET) that he was wearing a cardigan. A cardigan! He was also missing from his seat when his director, Spike Jonze, won the screenplay award. Full Story

Taylor Swift: Globes longest train

Taylor Swift wore Carolina Herrera. I don’t think I saw a dress with a longer train. Guess what I don’t like about it. Yes. It’s taffeta. And she’s meeting her prince with a sash across his chest who’s carrying a sword on his way to rescue her. OK so that makes total sense. Full Story

Diane Keaton: Best Globes Silver

Lord, I love it. And I am not a Keaton person, per se. I mean, I like her and I think she’s interesting but I’m not a devotee like some. I don’t have a thing for turtlenecks and gloves and hats. But I’m not made of stone. I had my head turned by that suit like every other woman watching the show, thought about it, and then decided what I really wanted was that long, silver hair. Full Story

The good news is it’s not yellow taffeta. Having said that, it’s a little Snow White. Isn’t it? Also… It’s still F-CKING TAFFETA! If you’re walking down the aisle and you want to wear taffeta, fine, whatever, I won’t stop you and I won’t bitch. Full Story
