(Click here for previous installments of the Career Prospectus series.) Could you please do a Career Prospectus on Kirsten Dunst? I loved her as an actress with Drop Dead Gorgeous, Bring It On and Dick being the best! She blossomed with Sofia Coppola and got millions for Spiderman. Full Story

Cam's holding hands with Jason

It's on the set of their new movie, so don't get too excited. But still. She looks great. HE looks great. Like, when's the last time we talked about Jason Segel's jawline, right? If this is one of the side benefits of him not drinking anymore, I say that's good motivation too. But Cam apparently was out with Benicio Del Toro the other night and people were trying to make something of it. Full Story

Last week, on September 26, Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated 5 years of GOOP. September 26 happens to be my birthday. I’m telling you, we are linked for life. Here’s what G had to say about her milestone: I can't believe this is the 5th anniversary of goop. I look back and I don't even really know why I started it. Full Story

Let’s play a game of Mystery House Porn

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 1, 2013 15:10:01 October 1, 2013 15:10:01

There’s a £3 million property for sale in London. It’s 3,200 sq ft. It’s ADORABLE. And, rumour has it, it belongs to a well-known actress. I won’t tell you who this is until tomorrow. Today, we enjoy the house porn and we guess. Deal? You know what I like about it? Although these photos are most certainly staged, it doesn’t seem fake. Full Story

So…Jay didn’t listen to the GOOP

Look. It’s the cover of the November issue of Vanity Fair featuring Moses Martin’s Uncle Jay. What? But Gwyneth Paltrow, didn’t she send a note out to all her homies telling them to boycott the magazine? That report came from The New York Times Full Story

Chris Hemsworth: Thor Forever?

Despite an aggressive ad campaign that leaned heavily on Chris Hemsworth’s flowing blonde locks, Ron Howard’s movie about Formula 1 drivers, Rush, had a barely acceptable opening of just under $10.3 million. Starring Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl, Rush is a decent movie, especially the racing scenes, but let’s not pretend like anyone in the US gives a sh*t about F1—it was never going to make money here. Full Story

Justin Bieber thinks he’s Mimi

Justin Bieber is on tour in China. China is also where those GIANT HORNETS have been hanging out, killing people. You do with that information what you will. Here we are talking about how JB went sightseeing and hit up the Great Wall. Where, instead of walking, or even running, because he’s just 19, and obviously infirm, he decided to ride on the shoulders of his bodyguards instead. Full Story

October 1, 2013 – Smutty Shout-Outs

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 1, 2013 13:17:06 October 1, 2013 13:17:06

Sarah! You have a good head for shaving! Big ups to you for buzzing it all off in support of the Cops For Cancer Ride and raising enough money to send one child to Camp Good Times. Mom said you’d like some Chris Pine. Well, you earned him!  And for Jilly from Stacy – Happy 40th Birthday! Mine has been great so far especially since my brown star has been really generous. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Was it a happy ending? However you’d classify it, it certainly wasn’t a weak ending. Expectation can kill a series finale and holy sh-t, Breaking Bad was facing some Expectations. What I have always loved most about Breaking Bad however is that it never succumbed to the need to “explain” evil in a way that provides comfort for those who need to believe there’s a root cause for everything. Evil is its own root cause and no religion will ever make that better. Sometimes being bad just feels good – how’s that for a reason?

We have a lot of TV to talk about. There’s what happened to Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. And Homeland. And… Masters Of Sex! Also a fresh blind. And Paris Fashion Week in LifeStyle and Tina Fey opens a new season of Saturday Night Live, partly as Farrah Fawcett. Big week ahead. It’s premiere week. Have you caught up on Scandal yet?!?

Yours in gossip,

Lainey

Over in Scotland, they’re all over James McAvoy’s new film Filth. It opened at #1 over there, one of the biggest British film premieres of all time, and even bigger than X-Men: First Class. Aaaaand they still don’t know what to do with it here in North America. Are our moviegoers less sophisticated or are we less dirty? I WANT DIRTY. Full Story
