Ever since Disney acquired LucasFilm, and by extension the Star Wars franchise last fall, the number one question has been who will direct “Episode VII”? Disney has already hired screenwriter Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3, Star Wars VII—what an interesting progression) to work on the script, and now it’s being widely reported that JJ Abrams will direct the next Star Wars film. Pam! Happy 40th Birthday! Thanks for asking after Marcus and Barney. Marcus was actually named after Marcus Flutie from Megan McCafferty’s Jessica Darling series and Marcus Aurelius as Gladiator was on the weekend we met him. As for Barney, who is two, and very busy, and really annoying - he’s better now which means that we’ve all gone back to hating him. Full Story
Flu still. Worse today. So sorry about the inconvenience but it's probably best to stay in bed with a huge pot of congee to kill it before the weekend -- the SAGs are on Sunday!
Was I hallucinating or did they really give Mimi a bacon fantasy last night?

Here’s Harry arriving home today with his fellow soldiers. They were flown back to England, landing in Oxfordshire, on a Royal Air Force A-330 following a tour of duty in Afghanistan. As you know, Harry was gone for 4 months and loved the freedom and pissing out helicopters but maybe not the celibacy but that’ll change by the weekend when he resumes life on the club circuit. So Shakira’s son was born yesterday (heh. Literally.) She and the father, Gerard Pique, have named him Milan Pique Mebarak (Shakira’s last name). First things first – Milan is a lovely name. I think I’ve heard of a girl with this name, but that’s fine with me – it sounds romantic and male in that soft way. Full Story
Have you noticed that all of Lance Armstrong’s loves look the same? Or, more precisely, they all look very similar to Kristin Armstrong, his first wife? Sheryl Crow and Tori Burch in particular have the same face. Lance is a very, very good liar and bully, but you know what he doesn’t get enough credit for? Lance, amazingly, fell exclusively for very discreet women. Full Story
