Mariah Carey’s American Idol premieres tonight. It’s the only appointment that should be on my schedule. On all our schedules. Aaaaand... Here’s Jennifer Lopez’s face on the cover of PEOPLE Magazine. As you know, it was JLO who vacated her judge’s seat, subsequently opening up a spot for Mimi at a cost of $18 million. Full Story

Who? Marie de Villepin is a French model/actress. Very striking. Like Taysa van Ree. Who? Taysa van Ree is Amber Heard’s ex/on/off girlfriend. And here are Amber Heard and Marie de Villepin (she appears to prefer her women with strong bone structure and 3 names) arriving in Paris together. Full Story

Is it quitting or is it replacing? As I’ve mentioned a few times the last couple of days, I’m not smoking real cigarettes anymore. The love of my life right now is my electronic cigarette. And I can hear some of you tutting. Smoking is SO DISGUSTING! YOU’RE SO GROSS LAINEY. I understand why you might feel this way. Full Story

Justified Season 4 Episode 2 recap. We got a lot set up in the season premiere, including a new holy roller in town, that shady bag from Raylan’s childhood home, Arlo shanking a dude in prison, and Boyd has a new co-conspirator in the form of Rhodes, his old Army frenemy. Oh, and we met Constable Bob, who is rapidly becoming the single greatest non-Raylan/Boyd character on the show yet. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Thanks for all your feedback, all your emails and tweets, yesterday re: our annual Golden Globes wrap-up. We posted late into the day. Please scroll down if you missed the last of the articles -- there were over 40 of them! Duana’s best was Juliana Margulies.  Read Full Intro

They were at the HBO party. I just did a brief search for Rose Leslie who plays Gidget or whatever and she didn’t come up although that doesn’t mean she wasn’t there since American photographers don’t really recognise British actors, including Michelle Dockery who was mislabelled “Rumer Willis” for a while on Getty Images. Full Story

From Oscar...to this

Someone somewhere, and I’m too lazy to look for the link, has a list of Oscar winners who should have their awards revoked for the sh-t they do after. Most of the time I think this is unfair. For example, Forest Whitaker is in that new Arnold Schwarzenegger movie and people will probably be criticising him for it but, like, in non-diverse Hollywood, how many quality scripts do you think Forest actually sees? It’s not like he has the same options as Tom Hanks. Full Story

Here’s how a legend does it

Pipsqueak is a big f-cking deal. But he’s not a legend, yet. While Justin Timberlake’s approach was to hijack awards shows with his return to music after 6 years, while teasing people for days beforehand, and shooting some kind of arty video, David Bowie just dropped his new song on his 66th birthday, totally by surprise, without any fanfare or self-dicksucking. Full Story
