This week there was a kerfuffle over Sacha Baron Cohen, invited along with Best Picture nominee Hugo, not being allowed to attend the Oscars on Sunday because he wanted to do his red carpet interviews as his character in his upcoming film, The Dictator. Click here Full Story

The other part of the pilot season game is the speculation: the leaked scripts, the rumours, the revisions in who's actually right for the part (one of my favourite TV business phrases is "we went another way", closely followed by "that (pointless production or script problem demanded by a higher-up) went away"). Full Story

Imagine being able to just walk into Balenciaga and pick up a dress for tonight? No payment required. That might actually be a better perk than the cash money. Check out Kristen Stewart leaving Balenciaga in West Hollywood yesterday. Stewart is the face of the label’s new fragrance. And there’s no better time than this weekend to be put to work selling all the sh-t you need to be selling: movies, colognes, whatever. Full Story

When Lainey and I write in the same room, it's long periods of silence or typing broken by intermittent screeches. We yell about whatever has gotten us excited, and then we go back to work.So a few minutes ago a picture of Julia Roberts got me thinking...sighing, almost.  I hoped she would be at the Oscars even though I know it's not bloody likely. Full Story

This one time at work we were standing around, and there was a fashion magazine and Brendon picked it up and flipped through, probably trying to find some stupid shoes to mock, and instead he grew disgusted as he flipped faster. And then he went "these are all children!" and tossed it across the room. Full Story

Oscars 2011 - Justin Timberlake took Jessica Biel to the Vanity Fair Oscar party. He even agreed to be photographed with her, and smiling too. Shortly after the two broke up. He’d been cheating. With Olivia Munn and others. Often. And finally it became more than she could ignore.  The split lasted 4 months. Full Story

Wild Life is the Canadian animated short film by Amanda Forbis and Wendy Tilby nominated for an Oscar. I had the privilege of meeting both yesterday at the Canadian Nominees Luncheon and guess what? They’re super smart and funny and I love how they joke about animators not really having social lives at all while busting into an Oscar event as the best dressed in the room -- WHAT??? And, oh yeah, they’re gossips. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

What do you consider Good Gossip? Is it the breaking news headline like "Madison Quick and James Mason spotted out for dinner and a kiss!" Or can it be less time sensitive but more insightful? A discussion, for example, corroborated by Hollywood insiders, about how she'll always be the proverbial girl who got off the bus and lucked out with a pilot that turned her into a tv icon, still incapable of moving on from her romantic scandal without a handful of pills? Sometimes it's hard to answer "What's The Scoop?" in 10 words or less.  Read Full Intro
