Oh look at Uncle Leo being all cute and uncley with Ruby Maguire and her mom Jen in New York the other day. I wonder if Uncle Leo doesn’t feel the way I do about children: love your children, not interested in (having) my own children. I mean, it’s not like Gisele didn’t want babies. And I’m not sure that 22 year old models - his usual dating target - are the most likely candidates for baby-making should a man be ready for the baby-making. Full Story

You couldn’t miss Nicole Richie on the beach in Santa Monica yesterday with her husband and kids. How are the ratings for Fashion Star anyway? Last I heard it was hovering around 4 million which isn’t horrible but is far from a runaway hit.God her kids are SO cute, right? I can’t stand it how cute her kids are. Full Story

They won Ryan

The marquee auction item at the Covenant House Vancouver annual Night Of New Beginnings gala (hosted by me!) in November was a prize donated by Ryan Reynolds that included two exclusive tickets to the North American premiere of Safe House, in Hollywood, with access to the after-party, a night’s hotel stay, and of course the opportunity to spend a little time with Ryan himself. Full Story

What to make of this? The Daily Mail, which is full of sh-t daily, reported yesterday that Carey Mulligan’s hen night happened two weeks ago. Carey is engaged to Marcus Mumford. And, obviously, a hen night usually precedes an actual wedding. Full Story

It was Kristen Stewart’s birthday yesterday. She’s now 22 which... I’m pretty sure is not a milestone number or anything, at least not in these parts, but whatever. A big ass embarrassing deal was made of it, and it was out of her control.  In honour of Kristen’s Special Day, her Snow White And The Huntsman cast-mates were made to record personalised birthday messages for her. Full Story

Smash Season 1 Episode 10 recapSo the thing is that my PVR brings in the last 90 seconds of Dancing With The Stars.  And I can't criticize that show anymore because it's so much better and more professional than, you know, the people on the show about professional singers and actors. But this week's episode of Smash isn't even really about the ins and outs of being a professional, except inasmuch as you decide how much you like getting yelled at during the course of your job. Full Story

Shonda Rimes created Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, and wrote Britney Spears’s Crossroads (!). Her new show, Scandal, premiered on ABC last Thursday. Did you watch? I saw the pilot episode at the TCAs in January and enjoyed it. But the version I saw was before it was given the network treatment. What happened on Thursday was. Full Story

Remember Paula Patton in yellow at the Golden Globes? Click here if you can’t, although this would surprise me because she earned the Sit DOWN award of the evening. Fortunately, after that, Paula went away, kept a low profile, and was not seated front row at any other award shows. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

“Try to smile with your mouth closed.”

Really. It’s the small details. When a man’s family consists of daughter-wives, well, that’s why they all look like daughter-wives. And isn’t that exactly the girl who would be bent over in the bowels of a boat by Theon Greyjoy?

Too mean? Please. You know what happens to the naive in Game Of Thrones, right? I feel like that’s the expectation they put on their viewers too: kindness will not (often) be rewarded.

It was a busy weekend in gossip, and I’ve some catching up to do from taking Friday off. A very full column is ahead. Please check back often. Blogging from Seattle today as we’ve been here all weekend in advance of the Radiohead show at Key Arena tonight. Clam chowder is the best breakfast ever.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
