Angelina Jolie followed up the Right Leg situation at the Oscars on Sunday night with a family outing that included Brad Pitt’s mother. The twins were trotted out for the occasion. Oh, and the paps were around. Funny that. Coincidence or conspiracy? As you’d expect, I took a lot of sh-t for sh-t disturbing yesterday in my Jolie Right Leg analysis article. Full Story

February 28, 2012 - Smutty Shout-Outs

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 28, 2012 15:49:43 February 28, 2012 15:49:43

Martina wishes Stacey B. an awesome belated birthday and all the best in Madagascar. Alida & Nadia! Sounds like your livechat was better than Jennifer Aniston’s box office. I was too disturbed by Shame to remember the special effect. Is there something wrong with me? To Leslie & Barbara from Sarah who says you stepped in for her on a work trip this weekend, Oscar Weekend! Thank you for coming through and looking forward to a gossipy lunch when you get home from Port Hardy. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Will there come a day when appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel post-Oscar celebrity video becomes more important than attending the actual Oscars? If and when that day comes, will the Jimmy Kimmel post-Oscar celebrity video, like the actual Oscars, end up a giant letdown? Or a debatable one? Why am I making my head hurt with so much meta when I’ve been up all night? As per annual tradition, today’s column is all Oscar.  Read Full Intro

Thank you for today! This concludes our Oscars wrap-up. Duana and I are really, really loving your messages and tweets. Keep sending! But first, we need to crash for a while. It’s been 14, 000 words today. Back tomorrow, same time!

So... there’s someone who hated the Oscars more than you (Dlisted)

Maybe Katy Perry just needs to not have a steady right now. For a while, actually. (The Superficial)

Demi won’t let Cameron come over to play (Celebedge)

I don’t like Sofia Vergara’s makeup here. And it makes her look kinda tight ponytailish, non? (Hollywood Tuna)

Jean Dujardin’s inspiration with his girlfriend post-Oscars (Pop Sugar)

I don’t love Rashida Jones’s dress. Doesn’t flatter her. (Just Jared)

I see Gerard Butler is choosing very good ways to spend his time after rehab (Cele|bitchy)

Peeta rides a motorcycle (Socialite Life)

I’m in LA with an entire crew of people working in entertainment news. You could say we are professional celebrity watchers. And none of us can remember seeing Angelina Jolie the way she was last night, especially not the Angelina Jolie Full Story

If you read my site regularly you’ll know this isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned my obsession with capes. Here’s a recent example. Here’s another. So no, this isn’t just about my Gwyneth, actually; it’s also about the Cape first, and a Cape designed by Tom Ford was the closest we came to a game changer last night at the Oscars. Full Story

It pains me to have to say it.  But you know that I'm right.  I looked at that dress, felt disappointed, and then went back to look at McCarthy's award season to see what I wanted instead.  I mean, it's hard to say. All her previous gowns have been a type. A jersey-esque long-sleeve with a v neck in a muted jewel colour. Full Story

Ryan Seacrest is so successful because he's the guy who gets it, right? He laughed it off when Simon Cowell mocked him and they became a comic duo. He sees what the world loves in the Kardashians and lovingly exploits their exploits all the way to the bank. He's trusted by all. He laughs in the face of almost everything. Full Story

He’s charming, yes. I am happy he won, totally. I love how much he appreciated his moment, 100%. And I know how much you all are into him. So I will apologise in advance. Sorry. But I am over his eyebrows and the eyecock and the face acting silent movie-ing. Because it is annoying. Do you hate me? I don’t think you should. Full Story

I did something very out of character for me yesterday. Before the show, before all the panic and craziness, I went for a hike. In LA, where people hike. This is not something I undertake all the time. In fact, people who know me and are reading this just spit out whatever beverage they were working on. Full Story

Tom Cruise did not walk the carpet with Katie Holmes. Instead, he went straight inside and presented the final award of the night, a responsibility usually reserved for a big deal name. Thank you Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. Tom Cruise keeps hanging in there. You do have to admire his tenacity, don’t you? He will never let you push him out. Full Story
