Thoughts on Shelfy’s dress tonight at the UK premiere of The A-Team? The fit isn’t bad, shows off her little waist, and her arms, and I don’t mind that she’s trying out some Mary Kate in the hair because, well, it’s not like Jessica Biel is ever at the front of the line. Full Story

Some people thought that Cannes this year was low on celebrity. This will not be a complaint at the Toronto International Film Festival where it’s now known to be a launching platform for an Oscar campaign. It’s TIFF’s 35th anniversary and the star list is LONG. Some of the notables include: Robert Redford, Guillaume Canet, Woody Allen, Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, Tran Anh Hung, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Mike Leigh, Julian Schnabel, Im Sang-Soo, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Aamir Khan, Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem, Marion Cotillard, Clive Owen, Colin Firth, Juliette Lewis, James McAvoy, Ewan McGregor, Helen Mirren, Edward Norton, Christopher Plummer, Natalie Portman, Om Puri, Ryan Reynolds, Sam Rockwell, Amy Ryan, and Hilary Swank. Full Story

We are trying to get to more and more of your comments/questions without interrupting the flow of conversation. Thanks for joining us week after week and remember to keep off the child perving and as Ali G would say, stay away from the racialism. Full Story

For the first two days it was like it was Comi-Tron and indeed, Tron: Legacy is a big deal, was a big deal at the convention, and generated even more positive buzz after its 3rd appearance in a row, 5 months before the film finally hits theatres. Jacek and I saw the trailer before Inception and he leaned over to me and whispered – that is going to be SICK in 3D. Full Story

Madonna’s pharmaceutical baggie? Is that for her face? (The Superficial)

I HATE this version of the Jolie (Dlisted)

No one wants this bitch to dance again. Well then why did you people put her there in the first place??? (Popeater)

We didn’t see her in the Princess Leia secret lounge. Maybe the nerds didn’t invite her. (Hollywood Tuna)

Cory Monteith and the boys be hosts! (Just Jared)

Cammie spends her money (Pop Sugar)

LipGloss wants to carry a big gun (ASL)

This pose needs to be outlawed. Forever. (Drunken Stepfather site NSFW)

Oh look – Blake is short, tight, and titty. Per usual. (Popoholic)

She’d probably get nerd-shanked in the Leia Lounge (Go Fug Yourself)

There was a press conference in Sweden today for the beginning of production on Lars von Trier’s Melancholia expected to shoot through September with an impressive cast that includes Stellan Skarsgard, John Hurt, Charlotte Rampling, Kiefer Sutherland, Kirsten Dunst, and the inimitable Charlotte Gainsbourg who, photo assuming here, doesn’t seem like she’s too impressed with the new lead. Full Story

It’s called Country Strong, also the name of her new movie due out in December, formerly titled Love Don’t Let Me Down which I like much better but whatever, these movie people they make decisions for mystery movie reasons. Anyway, I think she sounds pretty good. Like she’s been working on strengthening her voice. Full Story

You saw the photos yesterday, now Funny or Die has uploaded the video. It’s not the best Funny or Die piece ever, it’s a little contrived and obvious, but his shirt makes up for it, and of course the song, and the shot of him looking out his hotel room window kills me. Makes me want to go back and watch Dawson’s Creek from the beginning. Full Story

Iker & Sara: rental cars and Eva Longoria

More photos of them out and about in Los Angeles on holiday. No doubt the Euro tabloids will be rubbing together a story with this picture of Sara looking down at her ring hand. She also seems to be checking out her other one though which is what you’d do if you were inspecting a manicure. The paps caught up with my obsession at the gas station filling up their low budget rental car. Full Story

Scott Pilgrim vs the World was all over Comic-Con. It was plastered all over the Hilton Bayfront. It was hyped like almost no other feature. And it is also getting a lot, a LOT of love from critics and fans and nerds and herds. They say that Edgar Wright’s (director) work is incredible. They say that the effects and the story are original and resonant and at once entertaining and moving. Full Story
