Giselle! Congratulations and good luck this Saturday! By request, here’s Bradley Cooper to take you through your final week of not being Josh’s wife, and as for Mimi amazingness... have you ever seen this? Happy Birthday Emily from Shawna! Heard you’ll be stuck in class all day? How about some Neville Longbottom to help it go faster? Here’s Matthew Lewis at a charity football match last year. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Zara Phillips looked like she had a good time at her own wedding, and what I mean by that is that so often, the brides don’t actually have a good time at their own weddings because they’re too busy worrying about their own weddings. Did Princess Catherine have a good time at her own wedding? If you consider a good time to be the realisation of multi-year strategic plan, sure. But at the same time, I don’t think that girl ever allows herself to let go, at least not fully. Zara on the other hand, Zara knows how to let go. She just married a rugby player after all.

More on Zara’s weekend later, and also the Brange, new babies, and sucky babies.

NB – Monday is a holiday in most of Canada. It’s a travel day for us as we’re returning home from our holiday in Oliver, British Columbia. As such, I pre-wrote most of today’s blog on Sunday and we’ll be posting all of it in a flurry early Monday morning. The blog will return to normal schedule tomorrow, Tuesday. I know that today is not a holiday for those of you outside of Canada and we are very, very sorry for the inconvenience.

Yours in gossip,

Smutty Tingles

As mentioned earlier, we have a 5 hour drive home now back to Vancouver after the holiday weekend in (most of) Canada. Smut will be back on full service tomorrow. Or, if anything breaks, late this afternoon. For now, please enjoy the stylings of my online gossip friends. Also, I learned this weekend that I suck at waterskiing and am really good at water-surfing.

Incompetent. Stupid. Management. (Dlisted)

The Batman fighting Bane. It looks so ridiculous in real life, when you’re not sitting in a movie theatre, doesn’t it? (The Superficial)

Better this than a tattoo that says “breathe” (Towleroad)

Not getting married, don’t wear a bra (Hollywood Tuna)

Katie Holmes – that is the strangest hip to pant leg ratio (Pop Sugar)

Hugh Jackman, you don’t need to suck in (Just Jared)

Kellan Lutz could have had the role of Edward in Twilight. But Jerry Curl chose to step aside for Robert Pattinson (Cele|bitchy)

He thinks he’s Fabio now (Socialite Life)

When Ashley Greene is all one colour... (Drunken Stepfather site NSFW)

I couldn’t find a dress like this if I tried. Where do scabs shop? (I’m Not Obsessed)

Kings of Leon – you heard what happened at their show in Dallas the other night? Caleb Followill was not right. And apparently hasn’t been right for a while. Here’s what he told the crowd before stumbling offstage: "My voice is completely 100 per cent wrong, I'm sorry... Do you know what? I'm going to drink some beer and I'm going to drink some tequila and I'm going to have a good time, and for the record I'm not drunk. Full Story

Crazy, Stupid, Stupid, Crazy

Lainey Posted by Lainey at August 1, 2011 07:49:24 August 1, 2011 07:49:24

Written by Duana Now this is a story all about how you probably shouldn’t take me to the movies if the movie’s not a slam-dunk. Because I might be embarrassing. Sasha and I went to see Crazy, Stupid, Love (which I’m not sure needs that second comma AT ALL) with two friends of ours on opening night. Full Story

My Obsession is fertile

If you’ve been reading my site for a while, you know I’ve been obsessed with Sam Taylor-Wood and Aaron Johnson since the very beginning. Like, they announced their engagement 3 months after he turned 19. So they were together when he was 18. And they were filming a movie together when he was 17. Full Story

They gave up a bad shot

You know they’re probably the best at this, so I was surprised to find a picture that could be easily manipulated for negative photo assumption. And the next time Life & Style wants to say that Brad Hates Angie!, this is the shot they’ll be using. The Brange attended the Sarajevo Film Festival this weekend where Angelina presented an award and received one herself – the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award for her contribution to the arts and also for her "active engagement in the complexities of the real world”. Full Story

Zara Phillips marries

Lainey Posted by Lainey at August 1, 2011 06:11:00 August 1, 2011 06:11:00

She is not a Duchess or a Highness of Serenity, or whatever it is that they call Charlene Wittstock over there in Monaco, but Zara Philips might actually be happier than both Catherine and the Prisoner Bride because 1. I think she allows herself to eat and drink and 2. She didn’t try to escape, obviously. Full Story

Ana! Happy 24th Birthday! Marusa and Petra describe you as a “moderate, tame Twi-Hard”. And they’re right when they say those adjectives don’t normally come together to describe Twi-Hards. You must be an anomaly. They requested for you some “tea-pouring Robert Pattinson” and they call him Mr Broody. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Rise of the Planet of the Apes premiered last night in Hollywood. James Franco was there, probably begrudgingly. He hasn’t really spoken highly of the film. At the same time, if we don’t like the movie, it’s not his problem, it’s ours.  Read Full Intro
