Brad Pitt took his 4 oldest kids to the playground the other day while Angelina Jolie was working in Venice on Saturday. The Chosen One is wearing doc martens. Amazing. We were just talking yesterday at the airport (totally unrelated) about how people used to get rolled for their docs back in the day. Full Story

This year’s Vanity Fair Hollywood issue featured 9 reasons why a Lindsay Lohan comeback is pretty much impossible. Because there are others now. And one of those others is Evan Rachel Wood. Very, very talented. There is so much right with Evan Rachel Wood. And there is one huge thing wrong with Evan Rachel Wood. Full Story
Last night at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Letters to Juliet, Amanda Seyfried announced that she and Dominic Cooper are still dating. They were all over each other and Photo Assumption says he’s a smug bitch about it. Letters to Juliet opens May 14th, that weekend’s romantic alternative to Robin Hood. Full Story
The Vancouver Canucks advanced last night to the second round of the 2010 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs with a win over Los Angeles in Los Angeles. We have Canucks season tickets. Had a Game 7 been necessary, we would have been there. Unwillingly. Because it’s so much stress. Too much stress. Needless to say, I came home to a happy husband. Full Story
Gran is in Hawaii shooting Just Go With It with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. This weekend she went for a hike with her staff and Sunday Rose strapped to her back. From this distance, without perfect resolution on the pictures, and therefore no zoom on Third Lip, it’s almost like the old days again. Full Story
Isn’t he? This is Jim Sturgess, #1 on my Freebie Five, in Montreal the other day on the set of Upside Down. Kirsten Dunst (who was in New York for the weekend) co-stars in the independent film that’s been described as part sci-fi, part romance: Look up towards the sky and rub your eyes because you won't believe what you see: cities, forests, and oceans with their own inverted gravity, only an arm's length away, yet completely unreachable. Happy Birthday Judy! As for your present – Colin Firth was in Toronto this weekend getting a green award. He was dreamy, as usual. And he was accompanied by his brother-in-law Nicola who, as you can see, is super cute too. To Laurie from mom – Good luck defending your doctoral thesis today! To Higgins on your 30th Birthday from your UNB girls – here’s one of my favourite photos of Coach Taylor. Full Story
Went cliff jumping yesterday with the Barenaked Ladies at Crane Beach here in Barbados. Will post photos later. We were judged on form and height. Then at the very end, Tyler, who had abstained during the first two rounds, finally decided he’d do it, took off all his clothes, in front of a crowded beach, while Dylan was rolling, and jumped in with everything and all his bits waving in the hot Caribbean air. Obviously he had to swim to shore, emerge from the ocean, still naked, before he could cover up with a towel. Best shoot ever.
After that it was lunch with New Kids on the Block. At Fisherman’s Pub. FOOD. Will write about it more on my travel blog but it’s about as casual as it gets, like cafeteria styles, and the ladies behind the glass slap generous portions of macaroni pie and okra and bbq chicken and curry lamb and blue marlin, oh my god the blue marlin, on your plate and you shuffle up to the counter and grab your own cutlery and there’s rum punch and here’s my half finished plate and this is where we decided to take NKOTB and we were worried they’d be all high maintenance and prissy but they rolled right up and queued behind the locals and shovelled grub down their mouths totally stripped down...with their bodyguards lurking around unobtrusively of course. These were some photos I posted on Twitter as it was happening. More photos later today once they’re sent to me. But dude, oh my god the blue marlin. It was dense like pork. And so much flavour explosion I am still daydreaming about it today.
Internet is working! Friday – new posts all day in between shoots (am learning how to play polo this morning where Hot Harry fell off his Horse) including short hair, dogs, GOOP, and Jakey. Real time updates from Barbados on Twitter – click here.
Will be back in Vancouver on Monday blogging from home. Have a great weekend!
Yours in gossip,
PS. many of you have are asking about my florescent pink nail polish in the roti photo posted yesterday. It’s Essi “Flirty by Fuchsia”.
PPS. Have also received many emails lately about what I’m reading. Our book club selection (picked by Michele) this month is The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. So F-CKING good. And I also just started Peter Biskind’s Easy Riders, Raging Bulls: How the sex-drugs-and-rock’n’roll generation saved Hollywood.

And it’s a similar-ish dress. Even the back zipper. It’s a motherf-cking dress-off! And you know the UK press will be all over it. “Gwyneth Paltrow is so insecure about the younger Scarlett Johansson that when she found out Scarlett was wearing a grey shift, she decided to wear one too. Full Story
