Expected to be a major blockbuster over the holiday season – because what we need over the holiday season is to see a doomsday movie! – promotion is just kicking off now for The Day the Earth Stood Still with Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly who has been out of the spotlight for quite some time. Full Story

The cast of Twilight dressed up for In Style. What I said in my movie review about Rob Pattinson as Edward arriving at school in sunglasses announcing his new status as Bella’s boyfriend – this photo of him with Kellan Lutz pretty much captures it. Full Story

John and Emily and the Buffalo Mozzarella Test

The internets are buzzing that John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are dating. It originated from Star Magazine. Repeat: it originated from Star Magazine. So they were at the same party one night and maybe approached the bar five minutes apart? Anything is possible, and it could totally happen once a year that Star nails a story, but the prudent thing to do would be to wait for another report, non? But John and Emily would indeed me amazing. Full Story

Am about to have a very smug moment. If you can’t stand it, click away quickly. Wasn’t intending on writing about the New York Times piece titled “Angelina Jolie’s Carefully Orchestrated Image” because, well, why is this news? But I keep getting the emails so… Go through the archives of this blog and you will find that message repeated repeatedly: when it comes to the Pitts, they are the masters of the game. Full Story

Have these two been linked yet? Clearly the words “economic crisis” don’t exist for the folks at the Atlantis Palm Resort and Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. Some say they spent $20 million alone on travel arrangements for celebrities. And it was an eclectic celebrity mix too. Even the rather low key and elusive Chris Tucker showed up. Full Story

Lilo & Sam: Dust-up in Dubai

Lainey Posted by Lainey at November 21, 2008 07:56:00 November 21, 2008 07:56:00

At the huge party in Dubai last night, the grand opening of Atlantis, The Palm Resort and the Palm Jumeirah (crazy amounts of money thrown around, holy f-ck) I’m told  that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson got into a HUGE argument at 5am and their screaming match quickly turned physical as both girls were seen pushing each other around, unable to take their disagreement behind closed doors. Full Story

Winona Ryder collapsed the other day on a flight from LA to London and was met at Heathrow by ambulance. Her people insist that the story was entirely exaggerated. That she felt sh-tty but then recovered and begged off about the hospital but the airline insisted anyway and it turned into this thing. British gossips however report that she had suffered from an overdose of tranquilisers. Full Story

Her new favourite bag

The red one – 3 times this week she’s taken it out with her. Remarkable for us? Of course not. But for celebrities it’s a rarity. Then again, Britney’s known for wearing the same boots over and over and over. And you know, despite the meltdown, she can afford not to. Does this humanise her a little? I can’t decide. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Oh Holy Sparkles.

Twilight screened last night – congratulations to winners in Toronto and Vancouver who attended. As for the movie itself… I dragged my friend Fiona with me. MUCH more on that later. And Ebola’s intentions too. She’s single again, do you care?

Yes.

Not because it’s about her but because it’s about her next victim.

Thursday – blogging all day in between hosting the Juno Awards press conference! Are you ready Vancouver? March 26 – 29th… party, party, party for 4 nights straight!

Yours in gossip,

Lainey

PS. Will you join us at a Night of New Beginnings on November 27th at Covenant House Vancouver? The event will benefit our annual 30 days for 30 nights campaign, covering the cost of our crisis shelter for the entire month of December, providing food, clothing, counseling, and a bed to kids on our city streets. Let’s chat if we see each other there. We can talk about Body or Baby. Click here for more information.
