Many, many, many of you will be seeing the Sex & the City movie some time this weekend. Am assuming then that you know who Patricia Field is. Remember, SJP is not the style icon. It is Patricia Field who made Carrie Bradshaw. At least her wardrobe. Cool thing is, Patricia knows couture but she can also do budget. Full Story
Ben and Casey Affleck were in London yesterday promoting Gone Baby Gone and also found time to drop in at The Return of the Salon hosted by Esquire Magazine held at the Sanderson Hotel. My only memory of the Sanderson Hotel is from last summer. We went there for drinks while working on the Diana Concert special, a group of us on the patio, when this woman (a full blown adult) stood up in a hurry after drinking too much and literally, no joke, sprayed puke across our table. Happy 28th Birthday Lori, perhaps the only woman to emerge uninfected from a company-mandated handshake with Hollywood Ebola. Share your secret with the world! As for you Lisa… can’t say I’m with you on the Paul Rudd love (there’s a weird head/body proportion thing going on there that doesn’t work for me) but just for you – am attaching new photos taken yesterday of Paul shooting a movie with Jason Segal called I Love You, Man. The healing power of good hair…
Haven’t had good hair since breaking my arm. Aside from no golf, one of the worst downsides to a gimpy arm is that I can’t wash my own hair. As such, my husband has been washing my hair. And it’s really not as sexy as it sounds. Because I spend the entire time fighting with him about how much product to use. He squirts out a dime sized dollop on his palm and thinks it’s enough. Next I get a lecture about wasting shampoo. The next 10 minutes is about me pleading with him not to be so cheap. At the end of a very unsatisfying scrub he’ll douse my head in too much conditioner. For some reason it hasn’t been drying the same either.
Bad hair leads to bad everything else: felt dumpy, didn’t want to get dressed, didn’t even want to exfoliate. I normally love exfoliating. But looking cute seemed impossible.
Then, on the advice of the ladies in my book club on Monday night, I went for a blow out yesterday. Totally made my life.
It is the power of good hair. Good hair can move mountains. Good hair could end conflict. Jennifer Aniston has good hair every day. And still she always manages to find something to cry about. This has always confounded me.
SJP has good hair often too. She had great hair last night on the pink carpet at the NYC premiere of Sex & the City. Photos to follow.
And don’t forget, Kim Cattrall is joining us live in studio at eTalk today to answer audience questions and dish on the movie. To be part of the exclusive experience, email eTalkaudience@ctv.ca or call 1-866-460-4797.
Here’s Kim in Vivienne Westwood last night.
Wednesday – am posting all day, check back often to get caught up!
Yours in gossip,
Anything is possible, it could very well be true. And even though it’s not impossible for In Touch to get it right, the fact that it comes from In Touch Weekly is suspect enough. Still… anything is possible. Another problem though is that the magazine says George Clooney and Sarah Larson are done. Full Story
She might be Australia’s princess but not all Aussies are enamoured with Granny Freeze. Turns out the smutmongering is in overdrive Down Under about Nicole Kidman’s curious bump and her crazy botox. The speculation is delicious. Here are my two favourites: 1. Gran’s sister, the very fertile Antonia, is apparently keeping a very low profile. Full Story
She posed and pouted at the Chateau Marmont for a photo shoot – see attached. Then her son Cruz decided he just had to drop by Marc Jacobs. So they went shopping. Afterwards, he rewarded her with a trip to Pink Taco during which she sipped at water, tried not to breathe in the heady fumes of food, and watched him eat. Full Story
