Cruz after all was conceived as an answer to the public infidelity – a message to the world: We Are the Beckhams. We Will Survive. As such, thick skin and attention seeking was programmed into Cruz’s DNA, the first inklings of which were presented to an audience of thousands at Madison Square Garden last night. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

The Oscars in less than a week – have you filled out your ballot? Deadline for the Annual Contest sponsored by Mercedes-Benz is Thursday night. And a Miu Miu bag is on the line! Click here to enter.

Revival of the Oscars means everyone is busy recovering from plastic surgery and human growth hormone injections. Hollywood is back to normal – yay!

Yours in gossip,

Lainey

PS. Jamie Foxx doesn"t have a staff problem.

To be shirtless, of course. Matthew McConaughey – his new ad for Dolce & Gabbana has just hit YouTube…so cheeseball you will lose your sh*t. And at the very end, at the very end of course he had to lose his shirt in living colour, showing off a chest so orange it’s practically magenta! His blood vessels are being strangled! Dandy and his Dog…

David Beckham – who cares if he’s a cheater? He’s hot and romantic and generous with his money… so what if he shags a nanny or a Spanish skank now and again? The #1 movie at the box office this weekend was Jumper, earning just over $27 million, securing a first place finish for Hayden Christensen and effectively saving his career. Another wonderful example that trading on love pays off personally and professionally, especially when love is so damn cute. And Hayden and Rachel are undeniably cute together. Full Story

Jonathan Rhys Meyers winning Best Actor in a Lead Television Role at the Irish Film and TV Awards with his girlfriend Rheena Hammer. As you can see, he’s as buggy-eyed as ever. And clammy too. Many of you have been hungry for news especially since the strike is now officially over and the networks are moving full steam ahead to salvage what remains of the season. I have bad news and ok news… Sources tell me exclusively that NBC head Ben Silverman met with Friday Night Lights production last Thursday and while nothing has been put to paper, many staffers have been unofficially informed that the show is done for the season. Full Story

Thankfully there is more to Canada than simply Cheese, Punk, and Skank. In other words, Celine, Avril, and Pamela Anderson. In fact, when it comes to this year’s Oscars, Canada features more prominently than ever. Ellen Page for Best Actress, Jason Reitman for Best Director, Sarah Polley for Best Screenplay, and… I MET THE WALRUS. Full Story
