Still of Ryan Gosling from the upcoming Lars and the Real Girl, premiering at TIFF in September. Said it before and I’ll say it again – the Toronto International Film Festival continues to be regarded as the true start to award season with many releases bidding for Oscar gold strategically choosing TIFF as a launch pad. If so… Denise Richards is interested. Here’s Denise looking lovely - if not a stylistically dated – at a charity function this weekend. But this is the kind of look one goes for when trying to reel in a middle aged billionaire, you know what I mean? The hair is so sex kitten it’s embarrassing. Full Story
Jim Carrey fans turned away from The Cable Guy – back then, Jim as a freak was hard to accept. Especially when he did it so well. And the same goes for The Number 23. I totally bought him as an obsessive psycho. Made the mistake of watching alone this weekend in between Harry Potter sessions as I tried to pace myself through Book 7. Full Story
A Monday gift. Johnny Depp and his Vanessa on holiday in the Mediterranean. Photo caption calls her his “wife to be” – new rumours surfacing yet again that the two are about to marry. I’ve heard some buzz that Karl Lagerfeld designed the dress, that it’s a Chanel, and as payback she turned up front row at his show a few weeks ago. Full Story
Curious. JLo and Marc completed the 4 couple of power trip. But while the GMD and Will Smith were in LA feting the Beckhams, Jennifer Lopez was in NYC looking lovely and relaxed enjoying a casual lunch. LOVE her blouse. Not for me but 100% for her. Amazing though isn’t it? That she and Marc have defied the naysayers…all of us actually… who never thought they’d make it this long? Question is: can they withstand the pressure of El Cantante? Due out in a few weeks, some say it sucks ass, others say it’s wonderful. Full Story
Stars came for the game, more stars came for the party. From super A List to totally random, the Cruise/Smith joint production on Sunday night at the Museum of Contemporary Art attracted them all. And for Victoria and David, it was quite the honour. In addition to their hosts, Demi and Ashton made an appearance, as did Bruce Willis and Jim Carrey with Jenny McCarthy, and Matthew Perry, and of course Eva Longoria (of course!), along with Brooke Shields, her husband, and even Rihanna and Li’l Kim. Olsen > Hilton. All. Day. Long. I love Mary Kate. If I were Mary Kate, if I were 21, I’d do exactly the same. Trailblaze with my closet – who cares if the MiniVan doesn’t get it? Anyway, here she is arriving at the Galaxy game Saturday, disheveled per usual and camera shy. You will note: the Olsens do not tip off the pappies as to their whereabouts, nor do they live for the cover of Us Weekly. Full Story
But while Posh befriended the new Mrs Parker, fueling speculation she will guest-star on Desperate Housewives, her true BFF Katie Holmes was doting on the impossibly adorable Little Sci. As you can see, Katie is gorgeous with a tan. Gorgeous. Looks like a 40 year old at Martha’s Vineyard? Yes. Full Story
Saturday – David Beckham’s debut for the LA Galaxy vs Chelsea. He sat out the first half, came in late to thunderous applause as his wife, behind sunglasses and a cute black dress, sipped champagne from a private box, deeply engaged in conversation with the always opportunistic Eva Longoria. Today. Tonight. An all-nighter tonight with Harry in my bed. And perfect timing too. My husband leaves for a Vegas stag weekend tomorrow. So I can read and re-read in peace…and shop too.
Stag weekends are the best. Stag weekends mean a new Tod’s bag and a perfect built in retort when the credit card statement gets questioned:
“Sure babe. I’ll return my purchases. Oh…and what happened in Vegas anyway?”
I will keep my tote…trust.
About those Posh sag and cellie photos and some exclusive dirty dirty Britney smut and a new riddle too…all that coming today.
Friday – blogging like a madwoman, online all day, check back often. Thanks for your patience and understanding during travels.
Yours in gossip,
PS. I too am still figuring out the intricacies of the new site design. So it goes without saying that Ralph Fiennes SHOULD be #1. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out how to make that happen. Also photos: photos can now be seen one after another without closing the window. In Explorer however sometimes to you have to try a couple of times before the software kicks in. It’s a weird glitch, we’re working on it. And finally…have you checked out the FAQ and the answers? Might be useful, especially today with a new riddle.
Have a great weekend!
