Sarah wrote me back today when I messaged her “ugh” about Leonardo DiCaprio surging in the Oscar rankings. As I posted earlier, Leo’s in a one man race – click here for a refresher. But wait… is he, really? As Sarah pointed out, Kris Tapley, the co-awards editor at Variety, tweeted yesterday about Johnny Depp hustling undercover: The best actor Oscar race is Depp vs. Full Story

Many of you are about to take off for Thanksgiving in America. Maybe you’ve already taken off. The next 24 hours will be all about turkey, football, and trying not to kill your homophobic racist mother/father/aunt/uncle/third cousin/brother/brother’s new girlfriend. Unless this is a fallacy perpetrated by movies and Saturday Night Live. Full Story

In a surprise move, Marvel dropped the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live (thanks to some Grade-A studio f*ckery, expect to see a new trailer from DC soon, too). As you know, The Revenant is Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s follow-up to Birdman, the reigning Best Picture. As you know, the shoot was difficult, it was delayed, it was expensive, and he was reportedly a dick to the crew. Full Story
