Out of all of the excellent coverage Duana and Lainey put together for the Oscars – the dozens of posts and thousands of words – one really stuck out for me: Duana mentioned Dave Grohl! She gave him runner-up status for Mr. Congeniality (top spot went to Common, so I’m not mad). Full Story

The second of three Olympic-themed movies coming down the pipe—sandwiched in between Race and The Bronze—Eddie the Eagle is a charming crowd-pleaser about a perpetual loser who games the system to become an Olympian. It’s too loosey-goosey with the facts to count as a real biopic—the film includes integral characters conjured out of thin air—but Eddie the Eagle nails the spirit of the underdog story of Michael “Eddie” Edwards, a British Olympian who participated in the 1988 Olympics. Full Story

Many of you have written to say that you thought this year’s Oscars was low on star power and major fashion moments. I feel you. Some of you mentioned that you wished Emma Stone could have been there, because she’s always good for a style conversation. I hear you.
