Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris went out for dinner last night at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. That’s Rihanna’s favourite restaurant. And Jake Gyllenhaal likes it there too. That’s neither here nor there but, you know, it kind of is. Look at Calvin’s intense try-not-to-smile-but-really-I’m-loving-all-this-attention face. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Did you think it was possible that with every new day, Ben Affleck looks more and more the fool? Oh yeah. It doesn’t stop. Yesterday was supposed to be a good news day too. Only that’s now been overshadowed by a new round of nanny exploits.  Read Full Intro

Katie Holmes in New York today on the set of her movie All We Had based on the novel of the same name by Annie Weatherwax (great name). Katie is also directing the film. You know what Sarah keeps saying about actors becoming directors? Yeah. Katie certainly isn’t getting the kind of acting work that she’s interested in. Full Story

As mentioned earlier – click here for a refresher on this morning’s post about Ben Affleck and Tom Brady’s private flight with Christine Ouzounian – there’s SO much more to say about this situation. My working theory, per the previous article, is that Gisele Bundchen could have very well gone nuclear after finding out about the trip – was she the one who made sure Jen was informed about it? Also… How did this picture make it on to Page Six? Ben Affleck flew his nanny to Vegas — while unsuspecting Jen stayed home with the kids http://t.co/kio6ewydmT Full Story

The original title of the film was supposed to be Chef, but Jon Favreau got there first. Full Story

You know the kind of movie your parents suggest watching when you’re visiting, and you agree to watch it because you know it’s relatively harmless entertainment that won’t include a graphic sex scene or anything similarly mortifying to watch with your parents? But then you end up pretending like you don’t actually like it because you’re not supposed to get sucked into the kind of populist maudlin tripe that’s made to appeal to white middle-aged suburban parents, except you do like it because goddamn it, it’s just so earnest and heartfelt that it works, even if it is crazy cheesy? And when it’s over and your parents ask if you like it, you downplay your reaction and go, “It was okay, I guess. Full Story

TV fatigue: it’s real. There is too much good television that it becomes overwhelming to choose a show, because no one can possibly watch everything. We become paralyzed with indecision and no one wants to give their time to a creative flop (ahem, True Detective season 2) or miss out on a prestigious (if less popular and buzzy) drama like The Americans. Full Story
