Dear Gossips,

I had two inches taken off my hair this morning. That’s probably not a big deal for you. But for me, haircuts induce paralysis. Bad luck, however, is worse than a haircut. So, ahead of Chinese New Year, it’s time to get rid of the vestiges of the Goat/Sheep and be fresh for the Year of the Monkey.  Read Full Intro

Smutty Tingles

Sorry about the light day. I had multiple shoots and it all got away from me. Will try to make it up tomorrow. I apologise for the inconvenience because I know that gossip should never be interrupted!

The Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue 2016

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 2, 2016 19:46:50 February 2, 2016 19:46:50

I wrote last week in anticipation of the annual Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue. They revealed the cover yesterday – no Michael B Jordan but that’s because it’s all women. And, unlike past years, when the magazine was criticised for its lack of representation, this time they’ve included three women of colour, one on the front page: Viola Davis; and a range of ages: Jane Fonda and Jennifer Lawrence both on the cover. Full Story

For years Don Cheadle has been working on a biopic of legendary musician Miles Davis, fighting not only to get the movie made—always an uphill battle—but to direct it himself. Finally, after slogging uphill through the snow both ways, Cheadle premiered his film, Miles Ahead, at Sundance. Full Story

Nick Jonas & Kate Hudson’s “beautiful connection”

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 2, 2016 16:52:58 February 2, 2016 16:52:58

Nick Jonas’s new interview with Complex Magazine. It’s a good read. And, right now, he’s open to making himself a good read, over drinks with the journalist, and not imposing any restrictions on the questions. The writer got a good buzz over a couple of Old Fashioneds (my favourite winter drink too!) and decided to straight up ask Nick if he was boning Kate Hudson. Full Story

Kate Hudson’s Pretty Happy

Gwyneth did it. Cameron did it. So, naturally, it’s Kate Hudson’s turn. To write a book, giving you advice on how to love your body. Were you waiting for this? Before you answer, please consider the synopsis from the publisher: “I didn’t just wake up one day understanding how to take care of myself. Full Story

Gwyneth Paltrow is promoting the launch of her GOOP beauty and skincare line. She covers the new issue of Glamour. I prefer the photos inside to the one they used on the cover. That braided pony with the middle part looks great. Full Story

February 2, 2016 – Smutty Shout-Outs

Juliette! Happy (belated! 15th Birthday! Did you enjoy the Dragon astrology profile this morning? Keep up the hard work at school, and the singing (in the Baltics!), and, most importantly, being great to your mom. She’s so proud of you and she’s quite clearly an inspiration herself.  And for Kelly – Happy Book Birthday! Congratulations on the release of Altered! Wishing you more words and more stories. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

Well the SAG Awards didn’t help the Oscars feel better about themselves, did they? And, just in case the message wasn’t clear enough, Idris Elba decided to make it super obvious. I was wondering though, since the SAGs aired on a Saturday, if the message wouldn’t land with maximum impact.  Read Full Intro
