So there’s the Kate Moss way of behaving on a short flight…and then there’s Brange, with all of their children. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt flew out of LA on Saturday using the buddy system. Each child had to be attached to another child, except for the two oldest boys who, understandably, are now too cool to hold hands. Full Story

I switched over to Game Of Thrones just before the Fun Home performance at the Tony Awards last night but Duana sent me a text making me promise to go back to Ring Of Keys after the dragons. Oh my God, Sydney Lucas. Your swagger… Your dungarees! Watch this one. Will she be an Anne Hathaway or more like a Lea Michele? Or… Anna Kendrick? I’m going to predict a Hathaway-Kendrick hybrid. Babies all look the same, really, when they’re as young as Princess Charlotte. I mean come on, could you really pick her out in a baby lineup? That’s why, even in her first portraits, her brother is the star. It’s all about Big G. It’s always about Big G. Big G evidently took a break from sitting on his sister some time in May to allow her to rest on him instead as their mother lovingly held the camera. Full Story
Game of Thrones Season 5, Episode 9 recap. SPOILERS Last week Lainey noted that the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones is usually when the Serious Business goes down, but after last week’s episode featured that amazing battle sequence north of the Wall, we all wondered what could possibly top it. Elizabeth! Happy Birthday from Emma! Congratulations on the new job – and congratulations on choosing change and opportunity. I’m excited about what’s ahead for you. Melissa McCarthy’s Spy opens this weekend. So far, the reviews are excellent. At post time, Spy is rated 94% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and is expected to take the box office. That’s amazing and it’s important. Because finally Melissa McCarthy is in a feature that’s deserving of her and also, it’s not often that a female comedian gets to lead. And win. Especially when the pressure to win is so much more. Sandler doesn’t have to worry that his sh-tty movies will cost him. He gets to keep making them. But, as we know, as we’ve seen, when a woman carries a movie and it goes down, Hollywood decides it has to take a break.
I laugh every time I see the Spy trailer. And I’ve seen it several times. I love the way Melissa delivers the “Well that’s a confidence builder" line. Even the scooter part is hysterical…because, yes, why does a scooter need a roof? Also, I can’t wait to watch her scenes with Rose Byrne who’s been impressively showing us so much range the last couple of years.
If Melissa opens at #1 this weekend and Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck comes out strong in a few weeks, following the earlier success of Pitch Perfect 2, the message becomes harder and harder to dismiss. Hopefully. One of the gifts of discrimination is its steadfast myopia. This would also describe the Entourage movie.
Have a great weekend!

Since I just pissed you off with those Gerard Butler pictures in the previous post, let me make it up to you. These are photos that, guaranteed, no one will object to. Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, and Tina Fey all together last night at the Steve Martin AFI Lifetime Award tribute gala. Well, obviously, that was the best table, non? Still 6 months to go before we see all of them in their movie, Sisters, opening in December. Full Story

Some of you got mad at me earlier today when I mentioned in the Lady Gaga post that Taylor Kinney isn’t my flavour because he reminds me of Gerard Butler. You disagreed. Come on. I can’t be the only person who sees this. You really can’t see it? I asked our site coordinator, Emily, whether or not she could see it. Full Story
