Brad Pitt was in New York for a couple of days, perhaps for art. Yesterday he was seen at the Whitney Museum. And at one point he agreed to take photos with some fans. Note how he kept his hands in his pockets instead of putting his arms around them? This, for some reason, cracks me up. Anyway, Brad is now back in LA. Full Story
I read a headline this morning about Cary Fukunaga. He was supposed to direct the film adaptation of Stephen King’s It but has now dropped out over creative differences. Click here for more details. You remember Cary took over the Emmy Awards last year when he won for directing True Detective and everyone lost their minds because they saw his face.
So then I did an image search and it turns out I missed him at the MET Gala. With shorter hair. Two weeks before that he was at the Tribeca Film Festival though and the bun was intact. I think I might prefer the bun.
Welcome back from Memorial Day weekend to those of you in America. It was a full blog here yesterday so if you’re easing back into it, please scroll down to get caught up.

The ring is legit. But it doesn’t mean marriage. Meek gave an interview to The Fader, with Nicki present during most of it, and clarified the situation: "(The ring is) definitely real. Full Story

But on Saturday she was in Muskoka, 2 or so hours outside of Toronto, for her sister Kayleen’s wedding. Pretty sure, given how close she is to her family, that she wouldn’t have risked missing it to rush to France and come back on a tight turnaround. Full Story

World War Z is one of my favorite books. It’s brilliant, not just as a piece of genre fiction but as socio-political satire. The movie version starring Brad Pitt which was released in 2013 is an abomination and no recent movie has broken my heart the way that World War Z did. Brad Pitt could film himself farting in a jar Full Story
